I could not be any happier with the service and tickets that we were provided. The atmosphere at the Vicente Calderón was fantastic and the ease of not having to find flights and accommodation separately just added to the high opinion I have for this website. Madrid is an amazing city and I would highly recommend it to everyone, I am already contemplating a return at the beginning of next season. For anyone on the wall about using the website, I have nothing but praise for the service that FootballBreak has provided.
Tip: Do the stadium tour as well, only 10 euros and is quiet interesting. I would also recommend looking up a few Spanish phrases as outside the main town centre we found very few people spoke English (understandable really).
We went on a football break to Barcelona. The city and the football stadium were both amazing, the apartment we stayed in was right by the stadium and was decorated with pictures of the football club which was perfect for our visit. Our tickets were at the apartments reception when we arrived. The flights were great and overall we all enjoyed every minute.
Tip: Maybe try and stay a bit longer. We stayed for two nights but would have loved at least one more day as there is so much to see and do there.
Absolutely brilliant! Could not believe the match tickets when they said "VIP Corporate" on them, we thought that we had been given the wrong tickets right up until we went to the game. The hotel was very nice considering it was only 2* but I feel that this was because they didn\'t have a bar, however there was one literally 2 minutes walk. Breakfast was OK. Overall great value for money.
Tip: We had a free day in Madrid so we took a cab to the city centre where we found a get out of the room game called "fox in the box" comes highly recommended.
I am very happy to write a review - Despite all the arrangements that FootballBreak made being excellent, I was slightly nervous until my tickets were actually accepted at the gate in the Nou Camp stadium in Barcelona. I need not have worried. I booked this trip as an 18th birthday present for my disabled son, and despite being expensive ( considering the face value of the ticket) this \'once in a lifetime\' trip to see a \'sell out\' game where Barcelona play Real Madrid in the Nou Camp stadium could not have been better arranged.
The outbound flights were great. ( Easy jet did not let us down) FootballBreak had arranged \'special assistance\' at the airport for my son, as requested and that worked perfectly. We asked for seats in the No Camp near ground level as my son cannot walk up loads of steps- The tickets arrived at my home a few days before the game via DHL, and Rebecca at Footballbreak gave me the seat no\'s beforehand so we able to look up the view on-line. The Eurohotel at the Marina ( whilst 4star) was just adequate rather than luxurious, but as we only slept there it was okay. The staff were friendly but don\'t expect it to feel like The Ritz. The seats in the stadium we had were a few blocks behind the north goal. It was the Johan Cruyff memorial night and 99,274 people were in the stadium. Just fabulous atmosphere - I will never forget it! Norwegian Airlines were surprisingly good on the way home to Gatwick ( Free Wi-Fi on board the plane) The only glitch is that they had no record of \'special assistance\' needed for my son at Gatwick. Although, of course I\'d love it if the trip cost less, Footballbreak absolutely delivered the package I wanted. I\'d rate the experience very highly indeed. Thank-you so much!
Tip: Double check the date of the game in Barcelona - Ours was the Sunday when we originally booked, but then changed to the Saturday ( apparently this happens often) It is very much worth doing the Nou Camp tour - We did this the next day; you get to stand by the pitch, go in the (away) dressing room, see where the press sit ( magnificent view) The club shop in the Nou Camp is a monster over three levels that rivals Niketown in New York. They have everything Barcelona to tempt your wallet from shirts, boots, mints, furry dice and even grass from the pitch. (Queues at the cash desks can take up to 30 minutes though, it is so busy.)
Overall I can safely say that I was extremely pleased with the service and package I received from footballbreak.co.uk From choosing the hotel to the match (Real Madrid v Sevilla VIP Tickets) I was eased through the process and everything was taken care of. I arrived at the hotel and my tickets were there. Simple and no hassle. What else do you need when going on holiday? Madrid is a beautiful city albeit we had poor weather and The Bernabeu is simply amazing as is the atmosphere. We were also treated to 4 goals and majestic Ronaldo!
In short - I would 110% book again!
Tip: Please check the weather as it can get cold and wet! 4 nights is probably just about right and don\'t underestimate the Metro system. So easy and cheap! The stadium is only a few stops from the City Centre!
We can highly recommend doing a football break. We were astounded with the quality of the hotel and staff for the price we paid.
Tip: Just soak up the atmosphere of Madrid.
amazing pack, recommend upgrading seat, messi is god,no other atmosphere like it, everyone talks, flags wave, Mexican waves and lots of singing. only issue need longer to appreciate barca, but open top buses are a must.
Tip: Try to arrive in Barcelona early as the metro is amazing and cheap, will save you pounds, go on the free walking tours , you will see a lot of the hidden Barcelona, only use taxis booked by hotels in Barcelona, do not use random taxies as the price will quadruple, for transfers use holiday taxis.com they\'re amazing and unbelievably friendly and nice.
I thought it was a great package for the price the flight went on time the hotel was clean and staff were friendly I would definitely book again
Tip:Use the metro in Barcelona s very cheap and easy way to get about.
From start to Finnish fantastic trip!
Tip:visit olympic stadium
The whole package was completely smooth and really well organised. We were given all information when we needed it and everything
went to plan. The hotel was pretty basic but in a great location and perfect for a short trip away. Our experience at Camp Nou was great - the seats were quite high up and out of the action but we were pretty happy with where we were sitting. Overall we had an amazing time - thank you Football Break for making it all such a pleasant experience!
Tip: Take advantage of the 2 day tour bus discount - definitely the easiest way to see all the city in a short time!
My boyfriend is Spanish and an avid Real Madrid fan so this trip to see Real Madrid was the perfect birthday present. I loved the convenience of having the whole package booked and organised. Everything ran smoothly. Our tickets were at the hotel reception when we arrived. We did panic a little at first because the seat numbers were 25 and 27 so we thought we weren\'t sat together. But it turns out it\'s just the way Madrid number their seats. Odd numbers are sat together and even numbers are sat together.
I originally booked the middle category of seats, but a few weeks after booking I decided I wanted to upgrade them and get the full experience. Customer services were extremely helpful and upgraded straight away for much less than I expected. Then to top it off, a few weeks before our trip we received an email to tell us we had been given VIP tickets! It did not disappoint. We got unlimited food and drink for pre-match, half time and post-match. Our seats were excellent and so close to the pitch. Ronaldo celebrated right in front of us! Overall I would highly recommend the whole experience. My boyfriend said it was a dream come true, and a month on he is still over the moon about it.
Thank you football break!
Tip: If watching Real Madrid, allow time on another day to do the full stadium tour. Fantastic experience.
It was a great trip, and well worth paying extra for some for the items e.g stadium seats, central hotel. Your last minute upgrade of our tickets added to our enjoyment, it ws just a pity we ate before we arrived!! With the match being brought forward to Saturday afternoon, it gave us a full day on Sunday (and Monday morning) to explore Madrid, which we found to be a great city and easy to negotiate. Overall, we had a great weekend and are looking forward to going somewhere else with you soon.
Tip:Plenty of places to visit. We took in the Rastro Market on Sunday morning, and went to the Prado exhibition in the afternoon. I would advise against buying the \'Madrid Card\' as I don\'t think there\'s enough time to visit that many places. Cheaper to buy them separately. Also, if you get a VIP ticket, get there early to enjoy the benefits. We ate before we arrived.
All round it was one of the best experiences I have had. from booking it was easy an was updated when needed to know any think an the seat was excellent
Tip: I would book a extra day in any city as all ways some think more to do then watch the game i did an still needed more time.
- Your thoughts on the total package (flight, hotel, match ticket) - amazing, a whole lot more than we cold have ever expected.
- The atmosphere you experienced in the stadium during the match.- the atmosphere was amazing at the game, although I was a little disappointed that smoking was allowed in the ground during the game.
- The ease of a total package - easiest package break I\'ve ever used, these guys know what they\'re doing.
- The service you received from representatives of FootballBreak.co.uk - first class without a hitch.
- Did you enjoy the city you visited? - Had an amazing couple of days in Madrid, use the public metro, very easy to use.
Tip: Do a little bit of investigating on line before getting there, understand public transport and location. It helped a lot to be able to walk to and from the Stadium from the Hotel.
This was booked for a X-mas present, we have never been abroad for football before. The whole package exceeded our expectations. Excellent service. Will definitely use this company again for future trips.
Tip: Make sure that you do the stadium tour, well worth the money .
Footballbreaks makes booking trips as simple as possible. Everything was pretty much perfect about our trip to Barcelona. An amazing city & so easy to get around.
Tip: My tip would be make sure you book a later flight, allowing yourself a bit longer to explore the city!!
This is the second time that I have used football break. First time was Madrid v Juventus and this time Barca v Atletico. Both times I would highly recommend using football break. The flights were on time, easy to check in and even arrived early!! We booked a 4 star hotel which was excellent, small hotel but a very friendly atmosphere in an excellent area with warming staff. Only downside was that the hotel was a 10-15 minute walk from the metro station but that can\'t be helped. We booked category 2 tickets and the seats were good, in the corner behind the goal, we recipe bed a free barca flag in the ground which had a stunning atmosphere throughout the game. The match tickets were waiting for us when we got to the hotel and there were no problems checking into the hotel. We stayed for 3 nights, bought a 4 day tourist metro pass (unlimited journeys) for around £26. Very cheap considering how many journeys we made. Barcelona is a stunning city. Once again I would highly highly recommend this service!!
Tip: Highly recommend Barcelona over Madrid for atmosphere!!
Everything went as smooth as possible and we couldn\'t have wished for a better experience. The flight, hotel and the match itself were all amazing, as was Barcelona itself. We\'ll definitely be booking again using FootballBreak.co.uk. The atmosphere in the Camp Nou is something that I will never, ever forget.
Tip: Sit back, relax and enjoy yourselves. It really is THAT simple!
The package was brilliant and very well organised. Thank you every so much for the upgrade to the VIP area of the stadium - this made the trip!
Everything was very slick and worked to plan. I was expected at the hotel and vouchers worked well with the flights. Match day was great - largest crowd I have been in at a game - and Barcelona staff were helpful. Was pleasantly surprised by my seat which gave a very good view from behind the goal. Football Break representatives helpful in advance though did not need during my stay. As a first time visitor to the Camp Nou for a game it was the right decision to go with an inclusive package. Barcelona is a great city and I look forward to returning soon.
Tip: Do your research. It is helpful to know the best way to get from the airport to the city. I used the train and bought a T10 ticket which covers ten journeys on the train, metro and bus.
I\'d just like to thank your team very much for an amazing stag weekend we all had in Barcelona the VIP hospitality tickets we received made the whole experience so much more special, Everything run smoothly from start to finish, from the flight there to the game and hotel, We look forward to booking with you again soon!
Usually when booking to travel to a football match break we would put the package (flights hotel and tickets) together ourselves. If I’m being honest, there was always a nagging doubt somewhere in our minds that something would go wrong or not work out just as planned with booking this break, and using Footballbreak.co.uk for the first time. We needn’t have worried. The whole experience from start to finish was effortless, and any queries via email were responded to within the hour. Flight check in with Ryanair- easy, just fill in the details footballbreak sent. Hotel, again handed over the voucher and all sorted. Our main concern was were the tickets actually going to be there (the Barca v Athletico match had a 4pm kick off and we arrived at the hotel around 11am). Again, no worries, they were presented to us on arrival. Our hotel (U232), was a little further out than originally thought, but soon realised the easiest way round the city is jump on and off the underground, and the metro station was approx. 150 yards from the hotel front door. 2 day travel pass was 14 euro- money well spent.Made our way to the Nou camp (via a couple of bars…) and enjoyed a fantastic game with an unbelievable atmosphere. Then had all day Sunday to relax around Barcelona and sample the excellent bars and restaurants (highly recommend Meet Restaurente). Excellent trip, excellent service from Footballbreak, and a fantastic city in which to spend a weekend and enjoy a match. Already planning the next trip with Footballbreak.co.uk- what fantastic value for money
Tip: Metro is the way to travel!
We managed to upgrade to VIP seats. The trip was fantastic. I would recommend a total package to anyone!
Tip: I would book your hotel near the stadium within walking distance
We recently visited to Real Madrid vs Sporting Gijon. I think the total package was an amazing bargain. We paid for flights, hotel and tickets around £200. The Bernabeau was amazing. We had pitchside seats and the game was amazing. We received amazing service as it was my 21st. I would highly recommend Madrid, it is a lovely city with amazing sights.
Tip: Utilise the metro! It\'s super cheap and easy to use!
This was the first time using Footballbreak.co.uk and all I can say is fantastic, so user friendly and easy, great seats at the game, got to see the best players in the world perform, city was awesome and so easy to get around, I would definitely do this again, we are already discussing next trip Footballbreak.co.uk are a very professional team. Cheers for the package!
Tip: Well there is one thing , after only being in the city for 30 mins I had my wallet and 180 euro stolen while taking a picture, we were warned and I thought I was extra careful but ha ho it could have been worse, luckily I removed footy tickets ,drivers licence, passport and all my cards before leaving the hotel, 180 euro\'s is a lot for the first beer lol :(
Well organised and the tickets were recived by E- ticket which was great. The trip from start to finish was excellent and football Break done a great job in organising it all!
Tip: Las rambles a good place to stay
The trip was a surprise for my boyfriends 30th birthday. The service provided by football break was fantastic from start to finish, they came back to me about any queries I had via email and phone quickly, and made the booking and travelling experience really easy. The hotel was amazing, the staff there were brilliant and it really made our trip really special. I chose to upgrade the football tickets and the seats were really good, my boyfriend loved the game. I also chose a 5 star hotel, and thought the price was still very reasonable. The hotel was stunning, and the location was perfect. Probably the first trip I\'ve made abroad where I didn\'t feel as though details of he accommodation had been exaggerated and being so close to Las Ramblas and many of the city\'s tourist attractions made our trip really easy.
Tip: The tube is really simple to use to get to the stadium, but is very busy after the game.
Overall package and service that you provided was excellent ..could not find a fault with anything ...10 out of 10 ...i would deffernatly be using you again ...and would defanetley recomend you ...thank you very much for everything!
I received this trip as a 40th present from my fiancée and I was thoroughly impressed. I have always wanted to go to the Nou Camp and watch Lionel Messi play. The package deal was amazing and took the trouble out of trying to patch a trip together separately, to which I didn\'t have a clue how to do. I pre booked online a taxi from and to the airport which worked perfectly. It couldn\'t have gone better in anyway. Everything was emailed including the match tickets prior to the trip. The flights were perfect, the seats in the stadium were perfect and the hotel was stunning...... Barcelona is an amazing city and I had two days of sightseeing before the match. Footballbreak.co.uk is an amazing company and I would recommend it to anyone. I would absolutely use them again without question!!
Tip: I used the bus service around town and could buy the tickets right outside the stadium. They had two routes and you could just hop on and off around the city. I also did a tour round the ground which was fantastic and booked that before I went.
What an amazing football trip! The whole thing was organised really well (even the tickets etc printed out one step at a time, so all was good for "a bear of very little brain"), like me. It all flowed from one thing to the next without a problem. The eats were high up, but gave an excellent view of Messi\'s hat-trick! The city itself was excellent and well worth spending a couple of days looking at the superb architecture (and tapas bars).
Tip: Well worth getting a Tourist Bus Ticket for the non match day. We caught the blue route bus which also take you out to the stadium, where we did the Stadium Tour (brilliant). Allow a couple of hours for the tour. We then continued the blue route tour and swapped to the red route to get back to the hotel.
We thought it would be cheaper to book the hotel, natch and flights separately but this was a fantastic value offer. Less stress for us as everything was sorted. We had great seats for the match and the place was buzzing especially when Barcelona won 4-0. Our hotel was very modern and the staff were excellent, they even printed our boarding passes for our return flight. The thing I was most impressed with was the flight times, we had almost 3 full days there even though we only stayed 2 nights, perfect.
Tip:Don\'t turn up at the stadium too early, gates only open 1 1/2 hrs before kick off.
Choosing Football Break was a great move. From start to finish this trip was one of the best we have taken & the level of service we received was first class. We chose to go to Barcelona vs. Granada and it didn\'t disappoint. From a cost standpoint of the total package it could not be beaten, we stayed in a fantastic Hotel (Adagio) which was in easy distance of the area\'s we wanted to be in, and very easy train ride to the Nou Camp. The stadium itself did not disappoint at all, a great atmosphere and to see my 2 boys faces when Messi scored his hat-trick was priceless! Overall this trip was outstanding and we would defiantly recommend Football Break to anyone as they will not dissappoint.
The package was excellent. The service from the team at Footballbreak.co.uk was fantastic. I have been a life long Barcelona fan and visited the Camp Nou on several occasions but this experience beat the rest hands down. Messi got a hatrick, the city is beautiful, the hotel was centrally located, and the flights were hassle free. Overall, excellent stag weekend.
Tip: Visit the Barcelona Cathedral.
Booked a trip to Rome for the Roma vs AC Milan game. Received printed tickets and hotel tickets a good few week in advance. The hotel was clean and in a good location to see all the sights in Rome. The seats at the game were also very good. All in all, had an excellent trip and now looking forward to our Barcelona trip in a couple of week!
Tip: Book an extra day if you are wanting to see the sights of Rome. Comes at very little extra but well worth it.
Took a gamble on company as first time booked a trip liked this as you never know what you get when booking on the internet. Well during the whole process I should have not have worried as the communication from start to finish was excellent and any queries were dealt with swiftly. Wish all companies could be like this.
Tip: We stayed near termini station and then had only a 5 min walk from Metro which helped when visiting sites and getting to stadium.
The package was great value made so easy by footballbreaks, the stadium was electric and Madrid was fantasic
Tip: Yes book with footballbreaks for a great no fuss trip!
Excellent service from start to finish, was kept in contact re: printing out tickets. Was all seamless and will definitely be booking again. Got fantastic seats, row 17. This trip was excellent value for money and would recommend to anyone considering booking through footballbreaks.
Tip: If you are a family of five beware of taxi prices as they charge you extra for more than four people in the seven seater cars.
I cannot fault any aspect of this break to Barcelona. As a football mad mum, I went with my son for his 19th birthday as a surprise and we both had a thoroughly brilliant time. Flights were on time, getting to hotel was straightforward although I did some research before hand on the metro system. The hotel was basic but very clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. The stadium was spectacular and the match was amazing as was the tour we did of it the following day. The weather was very warm for the first week in January so enabled us to walk around the city comfortably and see the sights. I would go back again to watch another match but extend the stay by a couple of days to see more of this beautiful city and its beautiful game!!
Tip: If you do the tour of the stadium leave yourself a good two hours plus, even if it states an hour and a half, in high season it will be very busy but it is well worth the very reasonable price.
Simple website, I had been looking at each piece of the trip separately, why bother !!! This company does it all for you and added peace of mind with the Abta backing !!! Excellent !!
Excellent customer service, quick responses to email queries.
Tip: Use the train to get to Milan from the airport, easy to use and only 12 euros each way.
Bought the trip to watch Real Madrid for my sons Xmas. We had the best time of our life\'s. Starting with the flight on the 29th December left on time, €30 euro taxi to the hotel. Hotel was spotless and only a 10/15 walk to the stadium. Our match tickets were upgraded free as a new year gift from footballbreaks.co.uk Area VIP. Got treated like kings in the VIP box, the stadium was full and atmosphere was unbelievable. The next day we done the stadium tour and the wee man was so excited. On the last day we had time to kill so we jumped the metro to the Atheletico Madrid stadium for a walk about.
Tip: If I was going back to Madrid I would be traveling everywhere on the metro, very easy to work and very responsible prices.
Barcelona is a great city to visit took my 8 year old grandson who really enjoyed it.Take the open top bus tour on a short break you can see an awful lot.
Tip: If you are a football fan you have to do it the & Football Breaks are the best to do it with.
I would like to say how impressed I was and my two friends who accompanied me to watch the football, with the organisation and helpfulness of the people involved in footballbreaks.com. It was nothing short of excellent value for money. The flight was good, the hotel was excellent and the football was amazing. if you love football it is a must, I would definitely recommend it to everyone and I can\'t wait until the next trip.
Tip: Barcelona is great place, the taxis are reasonable and the food is great and the football is even better.
Had a brilliant trip to Barcelona with my son and Mum to watch Messi at the camp nou.FootballBreak made it trouble free!
Tip: Use public Transport,it is so easy and cheap!
The cost for the total package for the whole trip was very reasonable. The flights were on time, the hotel was very pleasant and right in the city centre. The e tickets which we had to get in the ground worked very well, no problems.
Tip: Just go and have a great time!
Overall the trip went really well. The hotel was great, 3 days was the right amount of time to see the city and all the information given by football break.co.uk was usefull and efficient.
Tip: Yes, try to get information on the bus routes before you go as they are more difficult to navigate than the Metro!
We have just returned from the Barcelona V Real Sociedad Match 28th November 2015, We had fabalous seats 6 rows up from the Goal, Excellent weekend away, would recommend this company and this package, so much so, we want to go back. We where with the Barcelona Fans and Band, everyone there friendly, and to see Messi, Suarez and Neymar Junior score just made the weekend. Beautiful City. Excellent secruity in and around Camp Nou, and even the local Police where very helpful!
Tip: Just go and enjoy this beautiful City and Camp Nou!
A fabulous experience, real good value for money, FootballBreak.co.uk made the whole experience very easy and enjoyable. Barcelona as a city was amazing too! Can highly recommend!
Tip: The best way to see Barcelona is to use the hop on and hop off bus.
Absolutely loved Barcelona. Hope to go again soon. Really easy to get around the city on the tubes and buses. I amended my booking with no issue great service received by the football break team!
Tip: If you are staying for a few days book a hotel more city in the city centre and use the tune to Les Courts as its so easy. Makes it simple for sightseeing in the city that way!
The city was beautiful, lots of great places to see, places to eat and go shopping. We were nice and close to the stadium in our hotel (walking distance) and were a short metro ride from the city centre. The staff at our hotel were also friendly and helpful.
Tip: Booking it as a package makes things a lot easier!
I booked a break to Barcelona for my boyfriends birthday and had such a fantastic weekend away, I can not fault it, from booking the trip to being there! Im so glad I booked this through football break as I did not have to worry about booking my flights, tickets or hotel, it was stress free. The staff at football break were very quick to respond to me when I had questions which was fab - they were also very helpful when the date of the match got changed, amending our flights and hotel! I can\'t thank them enough. I will definitely be booking through them again and would recommend everybody else to!
Tip: Wear warm clothes if you go in November - my boyfriend and I thought it would be warm to didn\'t take many warm clothes and we were freezing during the match, when the sun had gone down.
An excellent, hassle-free way to attend El Clasico. No-nonsense, efficient flights with Easyjet, a fine hotel in the centre of Madrid and superb category 1 match tickets in a magnificent stadium. Fantastic atmosphere and an incredible match. A vibrant city which will continue to fascinate in repeated visits.
Tip: Transfer from airport to hotel via the city Metro is easy. Buy a multi-day travel pass. Our hotel across the street from the Opera Metro station was ideal. Plenty of bars and restaurants nearby, with the Plaza Mayor and narrow streets of the atmospheric old town minutes away.
We booked Barcelona for 3 nights to see Barcelona vs Bate in the champions league, I was abit spectical about booking at first because it seems so cheap and too good to be true but I can honestly say I\'m so happy I did, we had everything emailed over to us including our flight, hotel and match tickets all we had to do was print them out, the flights were spot on, we also booked a transfer from the airport to our hotel through A2B transfers which Footballbreak sent us a link for. When we arrived our transfer was waiting and took us to the hotel which was really quick and them when we arrived to Sunotel Aston we where checked in quickly by the very friendly receptionist. On match day we spend the day sight seeing around La Rambles and the Port, this cost about €9 euro to get too from the hotel, then about 2 hours before kick off got a Taxi to Nou Camp, this cost about €10 from La Rambles, the atmosphere around the ground was unreal and they where handing out free Barcelona flags to anyone which made us feel more apart of it, our seats in the stadium where excellent and where very easy to find, the game itself was brilliant and Barcelona won 3-0. Me & my girlfriend had the most amazing time in this beautiful city and will most definitely be booking again with FootballBreak.com.
Tip: Go to La Rambles on match day then get a cab to Nou Camp, brilliant day and only €10 for the cab.
Having everything handy and bookable in one place meant that it was so much easier to organise a trip to see two great teams play. The atmosphere in the Bernabeu was fantastic (who knew they would have heaters above the seats as well). The flight and the hotel were both fine - I\'d specifically picked out low-end flights and a cheaper hotel so that was what I was expecting. I also quite enjoyed being able to explore the city a bit, before needing to come home - we took in a bit of culture at the Prado, which was great.
Tip: Get a tourist pass at the airport - it was €14 or so for the two days I was there but covers your transit to/from the airport and acts as a travelcard for the rest of the time. If you\'re going to the Bernabeu, the station "Santiago Bernabeu" is really close by to the stadium - head there and you\'ll find it!
We had a fantastic trip to Madrid to see Real Madrid play against Las Palmas. I was dubious at 1st booking everything online together but having read the reviews on the website from other travellers, I booked. The hotel was nice similar to a premier inn over here, our tickets where ready when we arrived as the match was that afternoon. The match was brilliant we couldn\'t have asked for better seats, we enjoyed the game and all in all would definitely be booking again with football breaks.co.uk
We always dreamed of going to see Barcelona play, and thanks to football breaks that came true. Everything was prefect, the hotel location was perfect, the weather perfect and game and of course the nou camp, out of this world. Everything happened as football breaks said it would and all topped off with a fantastic price and package, can\'t wait to book up my next trip
Tip: Get to ground early and sample the build up, go to the rear of the nou camp, access 7 and see the players arrive in style.
The service from start to finish by FootballBreak.co.uk was excellent, from booking online to arranging for the family to sit together on the airplane was perfect. The hotel was excellent and my children will never forget the experience. Barcelona is a great place for families, we used the bus tours to get to see all the sights and the stadium tour at the Camp Nou was amazing. Looks like Munich will be our next trip and we will be booking with FootballBreak.co.uk
Tip: Use the buses to tour the city, stay as close to the ground as possible. Eat at Pura Brasa, amazing tapas and we sat at a table that was a Table Footbal, Amazing.
Thought the trip was good value for money all in. We booked a hotel transfer through the hotel itself which was cheap enough (24 euros each way). The hotel was really nice. Yes it was a little bit tired looking but the rooms were clean and attended to every day. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfasts were really good. At the match the atmosphere was not like UK grounds (all the noise came from one place in the stadium, but everyone livened up each time Madrid scored). Booking was so easy on the internet and all the documents we received clearly stated what we needed to do. The tickets arrived on the Friday evening and the seats were really good (we even got to see ourselves on tv many times when we reran the game when we got home). Madrid was a great city to visit. It\'s well worth buying the open top tour tickets (we did for two days and actually used the service to take us to the Bernabau for the match). The Royal Palace is well worth a visit. Great places to eat. Tapas bars are cheap and friendly. All in all a great weekend and we will be using footballbreaks.co.uk again and are already talking about doing the same next year in Barcelona.
Tip: Make sure you do the Bernabau Stadium tour and set aside a god couple of hours to do so. It was a truly fantastic experience. The gates open just 45 mins before the match starts so no need to get there mega early.
This is my fourth time in Madrid and I love each and every time I come to the city. I will recommend the services of FootballBreak.co.uk to my friends and family!
The entire experience was outstanding. The booking process was simple and efficient, giving plenty of choices for flights, hotels and seats at the stadium making it easy to suit your budget. FootballBreak ensured that all documents were received in good time and, although not required by us, were available to give further advice as necessary. The match was amazing and the atmosphere was brilliant. So many different nationalities coming together to enjoy the beautiful game. This was my first trip with FootballBreak and it certainly won\'t be my last.
Tip: No tips are necessary. Let FootballBreak make your arrangements then just go and enjoy.
Overall we had an excellent weekend break in Barcelona. The hotel- H10 Itaca is clean and comfortable with good service. It is in a good location close to Sants station. We flew with Norwegian which was good. The Barcelona match was great. Seats were a little bit low down (row 9) and you would get a better view of the game being higher up. However it was great to be there and experience football in that stadium. Barcelona is a fantastic city. The trip was booked very easily with footballbreak.co.uk and the football tickets were sent to our home in good time for the trip. The whole booking process was hitch free.
Tip: We only spent the weekend in Barcelona but would recommend longer to see more of the city.
Fantstic trip, we had an amazing time. Flight, hotel and great tickets. Barcelona won 6-0 Messi received the Ballon D\'or and scored, Suarez got a hattrick. Atmosphere was electric. Couldn\'t of wish for better. Even though there is masses to see and the city is beautiful. The match was the highlight.
Tip: The bus tours were a great way to see the whole city. The complete nou camp tour is not open on match days.
We really enjoyed our trip to the Nou Camp stadium, the service was excellent. Booking was very simple and the flights flexible, allowing us to fly home to Southend.
Tip: The Nou Camp stadium tour is very good and definitely worth a visit!
This is a great way for football fans to experience European football and to see new cities. I\'ve used Football Breaks twice now and the organisation is first rate, never any concerns or problems. I\'ll be looking to plan my next trip soon.
Tip: Madrid is a lovely, friendly city with all kinds of attractions and entertainment.
Absolutely great weekend from start to finish, hotel was good, the stadium and match was great and the package was something we would recommend to anyone. FootballBreak was excellent.
Tip: Definitely worth every penny!
Wonderful trip to Barcelona, the hotel was first class, would definitely stay there again. The atmosphere in the camp nou was amazing. Barcelona is a wonderful city to visit, lots for everyone to enjoy. All in all a wonderful weekend break, thank you Football Breaks for all your help. Would certainly recommend to anyone.
Tip: Make sure you use the Hop on Hop off buses, fantastic way to get around this wonderful city, so easy and very frequent service.
I first saw the advert for Football Breaks on TV while i was watching a UEFA Champions League game. At the time i\'d been considering three different city breaks: Milan, Madrid and Munich.I thought i\'d pursue my booking with Football Breaks and it proved right, however i did not opt for flights as booking this separately was more cost effective.
The booking and advice i received from Rebecca from custom services was exceptional. I was able to book the hotel of my preference and it was a great find!Munich is a wonderfully historical and modernised city, featuring an efficient transport system and a vastly ethnically integrated community. For someone like myself, from the UK, i was fascinated with the sights and sounds of 2 Bus Tours and numerous cross city walks.
Tip: I watched the FC Bayern Munich vs FSV Mainz game at the Allianz Arena, one word, simply amazing! Allianz Arena is the best stadium both visually and infrastructure wise it compares positively compared to previous visits to Camp Nou and Old Trafford. The passionate support and friendly atmosphere was a true reflection of such a great football club. Being the penultimate game, the subsequent 2015 title celebrations were magnificent and i will treasure this for life!
Aside from Allianz Arena, the previous home of FC Bayern, the Olympiastadion, was a trip down nostalgia lane. The home of German National Football after past events such as 1972 Olympic Games, World Cup 1974 and Euro 1988. It was a sight i\'d only viewed in Playstation games, so i was honoured to be standing in such a legendary sports venue. Would highly recommend the VIP stadium tour for a modest price of 7,50 euros!
The package was easy to book and tickets arrived the evening before the game to the hotel. The whole trip was amazing.
Tip: Take the bus tour! it also works out as a fab taxi!
Everything on the trip was excellent. The information was clear and comprehensive and the admin staff were very helpful when I needed advice about checking-in bags with Easyjet. Madrid is beautiful and the location of the hotel was perfect - close to everything, yet not too noisy. There are restaurants of every type close by and the city feels the safest I\'ve ever visited. The stadium tour is wonderful and a must for any football fan. The football match was an incredible 7-3 win for Real and included a hat trick for Ronaldo ! A weekend to remember for the rest of his life for my 18 year old who\'s birthday treat this was. His younger brother wants a similar trip to Barcelona next year for his 18th.
Tip: The taxis are very reasonably priced and get around pretty efficiently with the bus/ taxi lanes. The stadium tour in Madrid is a must for any football fan and there is so much to do and see in this great city you will have a wonderful time.
I booked a trip for six of us to travel to Madrid for two nights, watching Atletico Madrid v Barcelona on the Sunday evening. Having never previously organised such a trip I was slightly nervous at booking flights, hotel and match tickets all via one company but Footballbreak.co.uk made it all very smooth.
We were able to select our hotel from a range of choices, and the Aquaria Negresco was ours. It wasn\'t spectacular but a very clean and friendly three star, decent sized rooms, really helpful and welcoming staff and a superb location. It\'s worth choosing a central location, as we did - getting around wasn\'t an issue as plenty of bars and restaurants were within walkable distance. We were also able to stroll to the Vicente Calderon in around 25 minutes. Easy enough.
Our match took place over the weekend of the planned La Liga strike so there was apprehension about it going ahead, but our contact at Footballbreak.co.uk assured me similar incidents have always been resolved in the past, and so it proved again. The game went ahead. I\'d been told tickets would be delivered to our hotel by 10am on the day of the game - and they were, sealed in an envelope and in my name. The six of us were seated together, and we had a great view.
All in all, it was a great weekend and everything went smoothly in terms of booking, and things being organised. I\'d do it again in the future, and when I do, I\'ll definitely turn to the same company again.
My son and I saw Real Madrid v Valencia on a Saturdsy evening. It was an excellent game and the atmosphere in the stadium was fantastic. We flew out on Saturday morning, checked in and picked up the tickets at the hotel with ease and had plenty of time to get something to eat before the game. We had very good seats in the 3rd row adjacent to the penalty area. In all, it was a very good weekend and even flying by Ryanair wasn\'t as bad as previous experiences.
This was the first time I have used website such as this and it was excellent. From booking to the end of the trip it was worth the money and very easy to book. The experience is excellent and would recommend to anyone that loves footy.
Tip: We Visited Madrid and I would advise doing the stadium tour as well as seeing a game as it was incredible.
Our Madrid trip was a great experience, the hotel was very central, clean and tidy, the reception staff were excellent, All the initial information, the stadium tour and tickets, hotel etc the whole package was very professional band made the trip a resounding success.
Tip: Use the Metro to get from the airport and to the stadium, it\'s so easy and very cheap
The package was amazing, really good seats everything went smoothly, hotel in good location 10 minute walk to stadium, ticket picked up as we got hotel. Couldn\'t ask for anything better
Tip I would recommend a few more extra days in Madrid, beautiful place just wished we had longer. Will be using this company again next year as plan to go back Madrid it was amazing
What an absolutely fabulous weekend! From the flight to the hotel to the stadium to watch the match it was amazing! We booked for dad 60th and brother 30th and booking the full package with you which took the stress away so we could laugh, drink and eat all weekend! The tickets were delivered to the fabulous hotel without hassle and the stadium and atmosphere was first class! We cannot wait to go back and do it all again!
Tip: Think about transport after the match as we forgot to book taxi and took us ages to get taxi back into the city centre and the metro was really really busy!
I booked a surprise trip to Barcelona for my husband, I was so nervous it would go wrong but there was no need. Everything went to plan, our hotel was lovely in a great location, tickets waiting for us at the hotel as we arrived. My husband had an amazing time at the game, worth every penny. Thank you so much
I could,nt have had a better time if I tried . From the outset it went so well , I met a couple sitting next to me and we immediately hit it off , especially as they were going to see the Game themselves . The flight arrived 30 minutes early , a big plus , the sun was shining and warm . I was in my Hotel room within the hour of arrival , and greeted by very friendly and helpful staff , and immediately handed my tickets for the evening Game , that Barcelona went on to win 6-O and the goals were World class , what else from the best Team on the Planet . On arrival at the Stadium the excitement kicked in especially finding out that I couldnt have hoped for better seats , to my surprise.
The atmosphere and the local fans and staff inside the Ground were excellent . The whole package was top quality , I have told numerous amounts of people about Football breaks , and being a London Taxi Driver I certainly spread the news quite quickly . And on my last note I must say , prior to going on this break the service I received over the phone was of the highest order , 10 out of 10 . I will put your company up against any for service and treatment of the customer and I would like to thank you for a really pleasurable experience , thankyou very much , J.Dunne .
Tip: I would just say to them , " you will never be board in Barcelona , great Team , great City and great people " .
The only word I could use to describe the trip to watch Real Madrid is excellent, hotel great seats at stadium unbelievable well worth the money got to go if possible. Next on my list is Barcelona? ??????
The whole package was easy to arrange and everything was spot on. We chose to go for the best seats, and didn\'t realise we had Area VIP seats and access to the VIP bar and buffet until we got to the stadium. What an excellent surprise!
Tip: Make sure you take the stadium tour if you haven\'t done it before.
We booked a package with Football Break and could not have been happier with the level of professionalism we received from start to finish. Once the package was booked, I received e mail confirmation immediately with all the details I could possibly need for a great trip. Our flights were booked on our behalf and all we had to do was log into the website and check in. Our museum tickets arrived exactly when we were told they would.
Match tickets was a little bit more tricky as we were told that they would be sent to our hotel in Barcelona and ready for collecting on our arrival. I was a little apprehensive about this, but as promised, the tickets were waiting for us at reception without any drama. Seats in the Camp Nou were outstanding with a great view of the match. Our hotel was by no means luxurious but it was pretty central and within walking distance from the stadium. Overall, I was extremely happy with the whole package and would definitely use Football Breaks again.
Tip: Chose a hotel near to the stadium for ease of access. Always nice to walk to the stadium in Barcelona in order to soak up the atmosphere on the streets.
Travelled with my adult son to see his favourite club and player. The Nou Camp is a wonderful stadium. We had excellent seats (which I had upgraded) under the press box, and the atmosphere created by the fans was fantastic. We saw Suarez score at the start of the match and Messi score his 400th goal for the club in the final minute of the game.On the following day we did the stadium tour and the city bus tour.
The hotel in the Eixample area of the city was lovely and taxis to and from the stadium cost only 7 euros. The organisation of the trip took all the pressure off us. Neither of us had been on an organised trip like this before and didn\'t know what to expect. It was excellent and we plan to repeat. There is a tradition of fathers and sons having breaks like this but I can recommend it highly to mums and sons (or daughters).
Tip: Taxis in and around the city are quite inexpensive. If you taxi from the airport there is a supplement to pay
This was my first time abroad as a single parent and I was feeling anxious at the thought of going, however... From the moment of booking I felt totally relaxed, safe and secure. The whole process of booking everything through football break made it so easy and the service was totally professional. Staff were helpful and friendly and the paperwork, itineraries, tickets etc were all in place when they said they would be, flights were on time and the game??? Wow!!! The stadium was amazing. There was no trouble and the crowds disseminated from the ground with ease. 92915 people were in the stadium that day and I was overwhelmed by this experience. I loved it. Barcelona has many fabulous buildings and the people were lovely. I wouldn\'t hesitate do go again and will definitely book through football breaks again.
Tip: Take a couple of extra days break if you can as there is so much to see and do and not enough time in a short weekend.
Wonderful weekend away, lovely hotel apartments with a little kitchen. Central Barcelona easy to get around, brilliant seats for the game and all went smoothly. Football Breaks were always helpful and available to answer my questions. Would definitely recommend this company!!
The whole package was brilliant and everything ran really smoothly, the football ticket were at reception on our arrival at the hotel and both of the flights went without a hitch. Overall a great service.
Tip: We stayed approx 10 minute walk from the stadium, the main bars are a cab ride away that cost approx €15. We were over charged on our taxi from the airport to the Hotel, we paid €50 per cab, on our return to the airport we had a taxi that accommodated all 6 of our party and we paid €50 in total.
A great weekend in the fantastic city of Madrid, with an easy-going long weekend, which gave us plenty of time to see the many sites. A fantastic football stadium (Santiago Bernabeu) with a fantastic crowd, good atmosphere and fantastic seats. The travelling was no hassle at all, and the metro services easy to use. The Football Break representatives on the phone were first class, and was a great hotel also for a cheap price.
Tip: Make sure to use metro to and from your hotel. Easy to use, very cheap and good deals on travelling and best way to get around. Taxi\'s cost around £30, depending on your exact location and can be a bit time consuming in large amounts of traffic. Make sure to do the Madrid city tour on the bus.
The booking process is extremely simple and straightforward with good communication and regular email updates. All documents required are sent well in time. The only tricky bit was the printing of the boarding passes on the Easyjet website. Why Easyjet insists on getting you to \'check in\' online is a total mystery as you still have to check in at the airport. Long queues at the so called \'bag drop area\' (check in desks really) so make sure you allow at least 45min for your \'bag drop\'. Boarding is also the usual long queue and generally runs late. Flight with Easyjet need no further explanation...
We decided to use the train/metro from Malpensa Milan airport to out hotel. It is quite a long way where you have to get the (free) bus shuttle from Terminal 2 to T1 and catch the train there. The train goes via Saronno to Milan Central. From there we caught the Metro to our hotel metro station and a 10min walk. Clean and efficient trains and metro. A bit of a shock when we got to street level in the Financial District of Milan; grafiti on every building (yes really) gave the impression of a very rough neighbourhood. It wasn\'t until the end of the next day that we realised that every building in Milan has grafiti on some wall somewhere. Unbelievable but true. Once you get \'used\' to that Milan is a truly beautiful city with friendly people and we felt pretty safe all the time.
Only in very busy places such as the Duomo Square you need to watch your purse/wallet. At those places there are also very intimidating street sellers trying to flip on wristbands with cable-ties(!). Keep your hands in your pocket and avoid them. Otherwise Milan is very enjoyable with some amazing sights, sites, shops and green spaces.
On Sunday night we watched AC Milan play at the San Ciro stadium. An amazing experience with some great Italian football. Very safe around the stadium, great atmosphere and amazing views. Instead of burger vans you get Panini vans with char-grilled peppers instead of onions. A few chip stands but very few fried food. How refreshing! Lots of AC Milan memorabilia stands of course. Hotel was superb and comfortable in a good area; some good little restaurants if you go off the beaten track. Good value too. A great experience overall and a very enjoyable weekend.
Tip: We decided to stay in a hotel as close to the San Ciro as possible and we were glad we did as the match did not finish until very late. We could walk back to the hotel and was safe to do so.
My son and I had an absolutely fantastic trip and experience. We booked the full package of Flight, Hotel and Match ticket and I upgraded to the Level 1 Match ticket. I was then very fortunate to be upgraded to VIP Hospitality which was an added bonus. Prior to my trip, i must commend the excellent communication which was provided by the Football Breaks team, who were both courteous and extremly knowledgable & helpful. I would highly recommend the company to others and will certainly book again. Thank you
Tip: Ensure you visit the main attractions and ensure you do the Ground Tour at both Real and Atletico Madrid. The transport links are fantastic and the Metro allows you to travel everywhere required.
The package was brilliant as it was everything we needed, meaning all we had to worry about was printing off boarding passes and match tickets. It was very easy and something that I will look to do again, without a doubt.
We didn\'t really need much service from FootballBreak reps, but whenever we got it, we always got polite emails full of all the information we needed and with contact numbers in case of a problem. It was a shame to see the San Siro half full due to AC Milan fan protests/decline, but the noise generated inside was still tremendous - especially from the Sampdoria fans sitting above us. As for Milan itself, it is a very pretty city full of friendly people, and is somewhere I\'d like to return to.
Tip: Be careful directly by the cathedral (Duomo) as there are people who try to take advantage of tourists by forcing wristbands on you, then trying to charge you €10 per band - they will chase you too! Best bet is to keep your hands down and if anyone grabs you, pull away. Don\'t be fooled by their niceness. Also, go to the river (Naviglio) if you have time. It\'s full of bars and restaurants, plus the view at night is remarkable.
FootballBreak did an amazing job making this trip the best it could be for me and my family. The service was excellent, very quick and simple without any problems. We had to change a passenger on our trip and they sorted it within the hour. The hotel was great, central to everything. Madrid was basically a smaller, cleaner London, with plenty of atmosphere throughout the city. The best part of it was that last minute FootballBreak upgraded us to VIP at no extra cost. Overall, FootballBreak did a fantastic job and i would definitely use them again!!!!
Tip: Just make sure if you book to watch a football match, make sure its not a game before a champions league match. As we saw Real Madrid vs Eiber and Madrid rested some of their big stars, as they were Playing Atletico Madrid on the Tuesday. But even so it was still amazing to be their and take in the atmosphere and the hospitality of being in the VIP area plus Ronaldo and Modric still played.
We had a great weekend. We upgraded the stadium tickets to the best on offer and we were very pleased to be further upgraded to VIP a couple of days before. Fabulous trip.
Tip: Madrid is fabulous.
I visited Madrid to watch the football with my 8 year old son against Eibar. From the flights to the hotel everything went as planned by Footballbreak.co.uk. We arrived at the hotel and the tickets were already waiting for us at reception. The weather was brilliant and the city was excellent, lots of small bars & cafes etc to grab a bite to eat. I would recommend anybody who wants to travel abroad to watch football to use footballbreak.co.uk. My son described the day of the match as \'the best day of his life\'.
Tip: If you are visiting Madrid to watch football i would recommend visiting the Irish Rover which is basically across the road, the staff are very polite and the food etc was excellent!
The whole package was great. When we arrived at the hotel we were handed the tickets for the match. We didn\'t pay any extra for the seats and still had a great view. We stayed at the Barcelona Princess. It was a bit further out of the city but really easy to get to on the metro or the city sightseeing bus which stopped at the door. Hotel was great - minibar was free and refilled every day. Payed for an extra night and glad we did as there is so much to do in Barcelona. Overall my boyfriend loved his 21st birthday trip and is now planning another.
Tip: Get a T-10 metro card. It gets you 10 journeys for 10 euro (one journey is 2.25). It is also transferable between people. Just put it in the machine and pass it to the next person
We had an amazing time. The cost of the trip, considering all that was involved was excellent value for money. All documents arrived promptly. The atmosphere at camp nou was unbeatable and we enjoyed the stadium tour too. Barcelona is a beautiful city and I would recommend your company to anyone.
The package was excellent and everything went smoothly, the match tickets were waiting on us at check in at the hotel. The Hotel was good value for money and in a great location. The view from the seats we had was excellent even though I had just paid for basic ones. We were high up, but this just added to the thrill of being there. The atmosphere was electric, very exciting. Madrid is a beautiful city and there is so much to do and see other than the Football and I would thoroughly recommend it. The package through Football Break was excellent value for money and everything just fell into place. The communication from the Company was excellent and everything was done for you. can\'t wait to book another trip!
Tip: I would definitely recommend the Stadium Tour, well worth a visit and the Open Top Bus Tour is good and stops at the Bernabeu Stadium.
The package was very easy to purchase and the instructions on the site were easy to follow. All questions were answered by phone or website in a timely manner. The city of Madrid is a clean and very friendly city, we found it very safe and access to the stadium was great. You cannot get better than a trip to see the worlds best football club, and you will see why when you go. Great football, food, helpful staff, and what was great was to see so many families with children having a great time in a safe and friendly environment.
Tip: I would recommend staying on for a few extra nights as we did as there is so much to see and do.
We had a great time at the stadium. Our seats were pretty good and we could see well. I think the whole package was probably over priced given what I later learned about hotel cost and ticket prices but I was happy to have assured seats well in advance. Dortmund was lovely and easy to get around, the food and atmosphere was perfect.
Really pleased with everything, the package I bought was at a reasonable price, the atmosphere was out of this world, the staff were lovely and very helpful regarding collecting our tickets, as a injured war veteran of Iraq this was my first trip aboard after what happened to, it was just what the doctor ordered and the city of Barcelona was beautiful plenty to do and see. 12 out of 10 for the overall experience.
Tip: Try and learn some simple Spanish. I did and the locals seemed to appreciate the effort.
I was nervous as I had not heard of footballbreak.com but the service was simple and efficient and the package worked brilliantly. The team updated us as required and the tickets turned up before 10am on the day of the match as promised (my biggest concern). We didn\'t plan our return from the stadium but metro proved simple if crowded. Barcelona has a reputation as the city of pick pockets but we had no issues and enjoyed the atmosphere in the city as the match approached.
Tip: No Madrid fans so no trouble but beware pick pockets who are rife in the city
When booking anything on line, you do your checks first. I handed everything over to Football break (Unusual for me!) and received everything requested to a higher standard than expected. There was no problems with the whole process and at times I thought it was too good to be true... Reminders were sent when information required and prompts to what was needed. Arrived stress free ready to enjoy the planned trip. We were all seated together (4) and thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere of the match.
Tip: Book online for the museum and tour of Camp
The entire package was fantastic and everything went exactly as planned - even the match tickets arrived early! The hotel was fine for our needs and no complaints. The flight was as expected from Easyjet or budget airlines, not great but it got us to the match and thats all that mattered. Overall a fantastic weekend for me and my son to celebrate his 18th birthday. PS - the seats at the Nou Camp were outstanding
Tip: Yes, go to Dunnes Bar in Barcelona for the "warm-up" great lively place for all sports fans.
Overall package was expensive but clearly a once in a lifetime experience for my football crazy family. The atmosphere made it all worth it - we\'d been to matches before but nothing compares! I\'m pleased I booked the whole package so nothing additional to worry about. Flights were basic but that\'s what we expected. Hotel was good but a little far from the stadium especially when you are trying to get back at midnight and there\'re no taxis. Glad we took an extra night to tour the city and stadium the day before the match. A nice opportunity to tick another city off the list. Service overall from footballbreak was brilliant - very responsive to questions etc.
So many times when you decide to tick something off your bucket list and look forward to it so much it disappoints, not this trip. We just wanted to say what a fantastic trip we have just enjoyed to Barcelona and the Nou Camp to watch the El Classico. Your service has been top notch throughout. The hotel was clean, comfy and very accommodating in a great location with bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. The tickets arrived early on Saturday to avoid any worries and we had the most amazing seats at the front of our block at the Nou Camp so no one obstructing our views of the brilliant spectacle that was before us. We are now back at home and watching the recording of the match on TV. We would thoroughly recommend your services to anyone and we will definitely use you again next time we fancy treating ourselves. Maybe the El Classico in Madrid next season!!!! Thank you.
Total package was matched very good. Hotel was in centrum of Madrid, flight without problems, seats on the stadium excellent - vip area. The price for holidays was cheaper than we expected, we compared this with other websites.
The flights were brilliant and I would definitely recommend Norwegian air! The hotel was good, the breakfasts were nice and the service was very good. The match tickets were waiting for us behind the counter of the hotel when we arrived. Everything was perfect.
The atmosphere during the game was second to none!
Everything ran extremely smoothly so the package was very easy.
The emails I recieved from footballbreak.co.uk were extremely clear and very helpful.
Barcelona is a lovely city and would return at any given chance.
Tip: Just sit back and relax because everything has been sorted! Just go and make the most of it.
Excellent trip - stadium experience fantastic. Good seats, excellent atmosphere. Easy to get to using the metro.
Tip:Pay extra for Category 2 seats.
From start to finish the trip to the nou camp was everything me and my son could of wished for,the flights were stress free finding the hotel was easy and was centrally located between Barcelona City centre and the nou camp.the tickets for the match were delivered to the hotel as promised and the seats we had were excellent, the atmosphere in the ground and the game were unbelievable an experience I would recommend to any football fan.
Tip: Make sure you upgrade your tickets to get the best view in the nou camp band two has a good view
This is the second time i have booked with footballbreak.co.uk and yet again the service provided with absolutely fantastic! We had 12 adults in our party, so from the booking process to receiving match tickets straight away on our arrival to our hotel the whole process is made so simple and more relaxing knowing everything is taken care of. The atmosphere is the stadium was great and everybody enjoyed their day although Barcelona winning 6-1 may of helped with that along with the fabulous weather. I personally spoke with Rebecca from the company and she was great with every question i asked and made the booking process very easy. We stayed in a very central 3* hotel which was yet again a very clean, spacious and lovely place to stay in Barcelona.
Tip: Allow time before the game to take a walk round the stadium and shop to take in the atmosphere. Organise other tourist trips while your in the city to make the most of your weekend.
Went to madrid to see Real Madrid vs Villarreal. Football break was extremely organised with sorting out our flights, hotel and ticket to the game. Everything happened the way they said it would. Got our boarding passes a week before we were going away as well as stadium tickets and hotel confirmation. When we arrived at the hotel the match tickets were waiting for us at the reception (which I was worried about prior to leaving home) but wouldn\'t have second thoughts about it next time we went somewhere with football break! Atmosphere was incredible during the game and just overall the experience was amazing. Would highly recommend, fast, reliable, easy etc! Well done football break hats off to you.
Tip: Definitely get the bus tour round the city, fastest way to see the sights.
Great hotel location. Great seats. Atmosphere was magic. Organisation of the whole package was superb.
Tip: Use the zebra crossings.
Everything went like clockwork. A great tour of the Real Madrid stadium, hotel was lovely, and a great visit to Madrid. Excellent night at the game.
Tip: Book it!
I was very very pleased with our total package organised by Football Breaks. The hotel was in an excellent spot for the sightseeing we wanted to do and for the Metro to get us to the football stadium. When we arrived at the hotel our tickets were already waiting for us for the game the next evening. I was so impressed with where our seats were at the football stadium, much much better than i was expecting them to be - our view of the game was amazing. The atmosphere at the stadium was unbelievable - thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and Madrid was a fabulous city to visit.
Tip: The metro is the easiest way to get to the Bernebeu, just a few stops and only €1.50 pp. Stops right outside the stadium.
Barcelona was fantastic - beautiful city and so much to see. Tickets were waiting at hotel on arrival as promised. Flight with Vueling was OK, and you get 23kg of luggage allowance! Whole thing worked well and Footballbreak accommodated our return date so that we could visit San Sebastian for a few days after Barcelona
Tip: Leave plenty of time to get to the Nou Camp - the metro is crowded and its 15 min walk from Les Corts metro stop. Make sure you buy return metro tickets on the way out as station is mobbed on the way back!
Everything ran very smoothly so impressed with FootballBreak.co.uk. Paris is a great city, we had a great time. French crowd not as noisy as others we\'ve visited e.g Rome.
Loved Barcelona so much to see and want to go back. The stadium is amazing and a wonderful atmosphere even though Barca lost. The package worked well everything happened as expected The Hotel Abbot was a good choice very close to the metro made getting around so easy. The Ryanair flight was on time both ways and was very efficient. Did not see any representatives and did not need to call as everything went well. Will certainly use this service again.
Tip: You must do the stadium and museum tour. Also get a day metro ticket and explore particularly the magic fountain and La Sagreda Basillica. Also I recommend the OMG bar by the marina good beer and big screen tv.
Great help, advice and service from the Football Break team. They were happy to change my travel plans and were very accommodating. All elements of the break were smooth with no problems. Fantastic city, amazing game day and atmosphere despite a Barca defeat!
Tip: Buy a subway travel card, really helps.
The whole experience was first class, the game got switched from Sunday evening to Saturday afternoon but FootballBreak.co.uk sorted out a earlier flight with no issues. The Princesa Sofia Gran Hotel was excellent and was a great location for the football around 10 minutes walk. Would definitely use FootballBreak.co.uk again.
The weekend was excellent. Given that the ticket prices were quite low, we possibly could have found a cheaper way of doing our trip by buying all components separately, but I was happy to pay for the full package as it was very easy. The tickets arrived at our hotel the day before the game, no problems at all. Barcelona is amazing, as is the Nou Camp, and we will definitely be returning.
Easy to book, excellent seats at the stadium. Overall, a fantastic trip. Thank you! We booked late, and I didn\'t know anything about your company, and admit I was a bit nervous. But everything ran perfectly.
Tip: Get a return ticket on the tube - long queues to get tickets on the way back
Last year we went to Barcelona with this company and had a marvellous time. We did not think our trip this year could possibly match up to it but it was even better when we went to Real Madrid. The seats were truly excellent as was the hotel. We had a great time visiting the sights in Madrid.
Tip: If you want to see the sights - try The Royal Palace - it is very good value for money. We also had a Segway trip and had a splendid tour.
For the second year in a row we have used Footballbreak.co.uk for our holiday. Both times we have had excellent service, fantastic hotels (clean, friendly and convenient) and brilliant seats - front row both times! We were worried the first year about tickets being at the hotel - but both times they have been waiting on our arrival. We would recommend them without hesitation and have passed their details on to friends to use.
Tip: Staying in the centre is easy, we walked to the stadium (just over an hour at a slow pace to see the sights and a couple of beers on the way) but the metro is so easy and you can get a 10 trip ticket which is cheap and easy to use. We also saw Rayo Vallecano who were at home the next day, bought tickets on the day from the Stadium - our son is 12 and had the best time, a very child friendly city.
I took my son to see Real Madrid v Deportivo La Corunna on 14 Feb - an early 18th Birthday present for him and what a fantastic experience we had. Booking was very straightforward and all documents/info were emailed to me 10 days in advance of the trip as promised. Flight was good. and our match tickets as promised were already at the hotel( Husa Princesa) when we checked in. I had paid to upgrade the tickets but was delighted to discover the seats for the game were in the VIP hospitality area. A fantastic time at the game- we were both blown away by the stadium & atmosphere.
We booked the stadium tour the next day which we would thoroughly recommend- allow plenty of time to do this as there is so much to see and do. All in all a brilliant trip- one we will never forget. Thank you Footballbreak - we would thoroughly recommend your company to anyone. but I needn\'t have been.
This was our first trip , therefore naturally apprehensive that the 2 day event would run like clockwork . Ye of little faith ! What an absolutely fantastic experience and worth every penny. Excellent service with the 2 day package running as smooth as a Swiss watch !
Tip: Book quickly , the later you leave it the less chance you have of avoiding the increased airfare .
This was our third trip with football break to Barcelona and, like the first two trips, the whole package was excellent. The upgraded match tickets offered by footballbreak were well worth the extra money as we got a great view of the game in both halves. The game itself was great to watch, two top teams made for a fantastic atmosphere and to see the worlds greatest player score the winner in a 3-2 Barcelona win, we couldn\'t have asked for any more.
In terms of the city, there is endless things to do and places to visit in Barcelona, I\'d personally recommend buying a two day ticket on a jump on-jump off tour bus which enables you to visit almost all of the city\'s great attractions at your own speed. As previously stated, this was our third trip with footballbreak and I would recommend them to anyone, great value for money, simple to book and always on hand to answer any questions.
Tip:For future fans visiting Barcelona I\'d recommend extending your trip an extra day or two as its a place with so much to do. The stadium tour at the Nou Camp is a must, as is a look around the Sagrada Familia and of course a long walk down the Ramblas.
I went to Madrid last weekend. We flew out Saturday morning and had a great flight we landed at around 12pm and got a free shuttle bus to our hotel. We stayed at the Hilton Hotel and it was lovely! The room were amazing and on arrival we were giving our football tickets straight away! The game was the same day we flew in so we quickly got ready and got a taxi to the Santiago Bernabeu to make sure was on time to enjoy the atmosphere.
When we walked in to the stadium we were shown to Area VIP and we couldn\'t believe it! We were in a VIP box and we had free food and drink all through the game and a Buffett before the game. The score was 4-1 to Real Madrid which made it a million times better! We had one of the best experiences ever and FootballBreak were fantastic. I 100% recommend them and will definitely be booking again.
Package was so easy to put together. Couldn\'t of been easier. Didn\'t need to speak to any representative as everything was so well organised. The atmosphere at nou camp was unbelievable ( even though it was cold as it was Jan) we got there early to soak up atmosphere. We upgraded the seats and really pleased we did we were in middle tier behind the goal and messi scored....excellent. Pre book the stadium tour as its so worth it!
Tip: Check how far hotel is away from airport...45euro in taxi.
The stadium tour at Barca was excellent and well organised. Well recommend to go for the extra day to complete this. The tickets we received for the game were excellent - we could not have asked for a better view. My son, aged 8, found the whole experience \'awesome\' and the service we received on the whole trip was brilliant.
Tip: It is a must to dot he extra day and complete the Barca stadium / museum tour.
The hotel was only 5 stops on the metro which was only a 5 mins walk away from our hotel. The flights were fine with no delays, the match tickets were waiting for us at the hotel reception , I didn\'t even ask for them as they were passed to me with the room key when we checked in. The experience of seeing the nou camp for real took our breath away due to the actual size of it. I couldn\'t fault the whole package from the day I booked it to the getting all the information approx 10 days before we went as was said when I booked the package.
Tip: If you go in January make sure to wrap up warm as it was pretty cold on the night.
our trip was originally booked by our kids, flying out from Gatwick and returning to Luton , but a few minutes on the phone and everything got sorted out at football break,we flew from Prestwick international to Girona and arranged a separate airport transfer to Barcelona, the seats at Camp Nou were excellent and we had 5 goals in the match with Barca winning.i would say the hotel was overrated (4* ... 3*\'s at a push) but that is down to the hotel its self and not with football break. our location was spot on 10 minutes in the metro and we arrived at the stadium.
Tip: make good use of the metro system , its easier than you think, be sensible with your belongings as it has a reputation for pick pockets.
My girlfriend and myself attended the Real Madrid vs Real Sociedad match at the end of January 2015, this was our second trip with Football Break to Madrid, and was equally as enjoyable. The ease of booking is a great help, and the Madrid experience is one we would definitely recommend
Tip: Purchase a Metro ticket for the duration of your stay, such an easy way to get around the city
The total package was excellent. Hotel was 5-10 min walk from the stadium and close to convenience stores and bars. The atmosphere was fantastic as we was only 3 rows from the front and close to the Madrid fans who constantly chant the Madrid songs. I\'d prefer to have a total package rather than separate after this experience. The representatives of football break were brilliant, we was greeted inside the stadium and shown to a VIP area which needless to say was amazing. Madrid is a very nice city, easy to navigate due to a system similar to New York City, we took a tour of the city and really needed a day or two to explore, but more reason to go back in the future!
Tip: Do the stadium tour and visit the club shop! The tour is truly incredible and you could spend most of your day in there!
Total package was extremely professional. Tickets waiting for us at reception and hotel in a great location. Seats in stadium were above our expectations and we were fortunate to watch a thrilling match. Would recommend to anyone wanting to watch a match in Europe
Everything happened as you said, the flights were on time, the hotel was walking distance from the stadium & the tickets at reception. The seats gave a great view, the 90,000 crowd in fine singing form & Namar, Suarez & Messi scored! The weather was good (in Jan.) and the Seraglio Familia is an amazing place to visit & then relax on the beach.
We had an amazing time and I couldn\'t fault a thing! Every thing went so smoothly. The hotel was beautiful. The city was fantastic with so much to do. And the atmosphere in Camp Nou was something everyone needs to experience!! Just amazing! Will with out a doubt use Football break again!
Tip: If you use the metro after the game be extra vigilant of pickpockets!!!
Also If your going to Barcelona for more then just the football match day then plan ahead what you want to do so you don\'t waste your time there wondering about.
The trip from start to finish was great .The flight got us to Barcelona mid morning giving us the Saturday afternoon to do the stadium museum tour. This gave us a taste of what was to come and was well worth the visit. The hotel was close to a metro station and within walking distance of the Camp Nou. Our seats were great, behind one of the goals quite high up( which we wanted) with a perfect view of the game. We had chosen the Barca v Atletico Madrid (2nd against 3rd in La Liga so the atmosphere was electric. If you are going to do a football trip, then Barcelona is the one to do.
Tip: Do the Stadium and museum visit, get a Hola card for transport around the city.
Just back from a trip to barcelona and to see the Barca v Athletico match.
Service from football break was excellent - lots of information and all very timely. Tickets were delivered to the hotel on the morning of the match. We also did the stadium tour which was amazing. We travelled as a couple with our 10. Year old son and the whole trip was amazing.
Going into the stadium was fantastic and the atmosphere at the match was unbelievable. Seats were great as we\'ll. Barcelona was also fantastic and very easy to get around. A fantastic trip all round. It was the trip of a lifetime
This package was great, I would recommend to anyone looking to organise a football break. There was alot more options than I expected when booking this break in terms of the hotels, flights and tickets. We stayed in the Attica 21 hotel, we found it a little disappointing and would not rate it 4 stars. However, the overall break was good and we thoroughly enjoyed the football match.
Our football tickets were delivered to the hotel as promised on the morning of the match, which was great and when we arrived the seats were fantastic. It seemed as though we were seated mostly with other English people who presumably had booked through either this or another package, which was nice although it meant that the overall atmosphere was lacking a little in terms of the songs etc that you would usually get at a football match, our end was a little quiet. But having said this, it does not take anything away from the match, which was great! Would certainly recommend Footballbreak but if we were to book again I would not stay in the Attica 21.
Had no complaints about the hotel at all, it was 3 star but very adequate, Tickets had been delivered before we arrived at the hotel. It was and excellent two days in the city..Had no complaints at all.
We thought the whole experience you provided was superb, the flight, hotel and match couldn\'t have gone any smoother, we felt we had adamant information on all three to not feel lost or unsure of what or where we were going. Both me and my dad had a great trip and we\'ll both be using your website again, i have already been spreading the word.
Tip: Don\'t get to the ground too early as there\'s not much to do around there, especially if you\'re hoping to watch Premiership games in a pub.
The total package was excellent, we had no problems from the time we arrived at the airport to leave to Barcelona and vise versa. The atmosphere was electrifying, the seats were more or less right at the front and i saw 4 out of the 5 goals scored right in front of me.
The ease of the total package was so great that i didn\'t literally do anything, from the time i booked my package i didn\'t have to do anything. The service was at a very high quality. All information was emailed to me and my match tickets were sent directly to my hotel whichi picked up at the reception. The city was amazing, i enjoyed touring Barcelona and mingling with the locals.
Tip: For future football fans visiting this city...get yourselves booked with footballbreak.co.uk. You wont be dissapointed. I\'ve already had 2 of my closest freinds to visit the site.
First time at this and email delivery of info was good. Got onto Ryanair website and did the boarding pass thing then printed them out at home. All good. Hotel in Barcelona gave me the ticket at check-in ok. Overall good value for money compared to English Prem prices and transport costs. Nou Camp? Wow. Maybe could have been given directions on how to get from hotel to ground and from airport to hotel. Wasn\'t hard to work out but time-consuming. Would use again!
Tip: Watch out for Nou Camp (La Cort?) metro queue after the game. Barcelona is a well-managed city with lovely people.
Really enjoyed our trip to Milan. It was great to visit one of the legendary stadiums of Europe and even half full the atmosphere in the San Siro was good.
Hotel Berlino was excellent. Clean, fairly quiet, friendly staff and superb breakfast. Being situated on the edge of Milan meant we had to use the trams which was easy and we enjoyed as we got to see more of the city and not just the centre.
We took a train up to lake Como where we also got to see a third division game between Como and Lumezzane in their stadium which is right on the Lake, awesome.
Overall we had a great time and the package from footballbreaks was well organized. Thanks.
The hotel near the canals in Milan was great. Good location for food and transport was close. At first like most location it was difficult to find but it was great. The seats was great and worth the price.
Being opposite the inter (away fans) was great. As a milan fan It was great to see the rivalry between the fans.
The service i received from footballbreak.co.uk was fantastic. They kept me updated with news regarding the hotel, match tickets and any possible changes to the game on that particular weekend.
This was our second trip to Madrid using football breaks the service was faultless, they are like your silent partners, you book your package and everything is sorted you just go, it\'s as easy as that.
Our hotel was right in the centre of Madrid this time through our own choice and what a choice, just off the grand via what a street it\'s got everything you could wish for.
Our seats at the match were 1st class, I can\'t recommended football breaks highly enough. We will be going again next year with football breaks.
Tip: Visit the grand via it has everything, the city is awesome, beautiful and vibrant, use the metro to travel around cheap and easy to follow.
Package was excellent and avoids the hassle of putting all the elements together yourself.
Everything is the basic - Ryanair cattle truck flight, cheap (but very well located) hotel, cheapest seats at the match (only Euro30 in fact) but the convenience is great and it is possible to upgrade each element if you want.
Stadium experience at Real Madrid was fantastic and we saw a great game, we didn\'t mind being up in the rafters (believe it or not, the stadium is heated!!). Staying 3 nights meant we could enjoy Madrid and do the stadium tour, which was also exceptionally good. And we even managed to find an Irish pub (O\'Neills) to watch Newcastle beat West Brom!.
Tip: Madrid - 2 day hop on hop off city tour was a good deal and enabled us to see everything we wanted. A 10 trip ticket on the metro also worked fine for us, for getting from and to airport and to and from the Bernabeu. Lovely food, especially just away from the main tourist/shopping streets.
We enjoyed seeing a match against poorer opposition because we really wanted to see Real win well. A big match would be a much more expensive option.
Both my son and myself had a tremendous time with great seats and atmosphere to match. I would recommend this package to any football fan and will certainly be looking to return.
Madrid is a beautiful city and the atmosphere at the game was amazing.
Tip: Pre book your transfer before arrival will save you a few euros.
I was very impressed by the FootballBreak package. The website was very easy to use, and the overall cost of the package was competitive even when I compared against buying the individual elements seperately.
Everything worked very smoothly, all tickets and reservations were delivered promptly, and you even accommodated a change in flights when we decided to go out earlier than originally planned. Great seats and 6 goals!!
Thanks very much.
Booked a trip to see Real Madrid v Liverpool, couldnt get a ticket so had to use this company. with the instructions given to me it was easy to fing the hotel Infanta Mercedes. This was located less than a mile away from the Bernabeau ground.
On arrvial the match ticket was there waiting for me and simply checked into the hotel with the voucher supplied. Thats it -- so easy.
Didnt see much of Madrid but the people there were friendly specially the fans at the stadium.
Tip: take a day or two and study the metro map. its so easy to find your way around- you can purchanse a 1/2/3 day metro ticket save you finding change every time you want to go somewhere
Was at bayern v dortmund great experience,2nd time using football break and will certanly be goin again.
Tip: take advantage of the great train service, straight from airport to marienplatz, which is 5 mins from hotel
The whole package was put together in a professional way and the seats at the Camp Nou were excellent (we opted for mid priced seats). Football Breaks were excellent too and helped when needed.
This is the second time we have booked a football break with Football Break.Co.Uk and just as the last time, (watching Barcelona) everything went smoothly and we got to watch a great game at the San Siro.
We were kept up to date with information via e-mails before we left and received all the documentation in plenty of time. We were informed of a change of time to the game several weeks before which allowed us to also get to watch Juventus on the same day.
The atmosphere at both games was fantastic, with nearly full stadiums full of noisy, passionate and friendly supporters. We stayed near the San Siro so were able to walk to the game. We also had plenty of time on our break to take a stadium tour and explore the city.
We are already planning our next trip.
Tip: If you can afford it, it is worth paying a bit extra to get seats closer to the pitch.
The whole trip was excellent, the city of Madrid beautiful helped by the weather. The game and atmosphere something I\'ve never experienced before. Organisation of the trip first class. The only small complaint was the hotel room very average but bearable for only 3 nights.
Tip: Pre book the stadium tour
The total package was very good. The hotel ´Husa Pedralbes´ was within reasonable distance from the stadium. The hotel facilities could have been a little better in terms of breakfast, lunch, dinner and restaurant facilities. Other than this, the overall package was very good and I would certainly use Football Breaks again.
Tip: Ideal to book your hotel close to the stadium. Do take the Bus City tours which gives you a very good flavour of the history and heritage of Barcelona and Catlanya region.
The whole experience was amazing. We went to the Nou Camp to watch Barcelona. Choosing a package and tailoring it to our needs couldn\'t have been easier on the website.
The hotel (abba sants)was excellent. It was a minutes walk from the station, which in turn was only about 5 stops from the airport. The ground was about a 10 minute walk away.
We picked a match against a smaller side and went for the top priced tickets as it was a once in a lifetime trip. I won\'t ruin the amazing surprise that we had, but go for these tickets is more than worth it. Tickets for the match were waiting for us as promised when we checked in a the hotel. We were promised 3 seats together and we got this, tho our seat numbers were 1,3 & 5 this will happen to you. at the ground even numbers are on the left of the block and odd numbers are on the other side. The match was good with Messi, Neymar and Xavi all scoring.
On the Monday we took the tour. We got your tickets on the day. This was our only mistake. We had to queue for an hour to get them. Buy them in advance, it\'s the same price (23 Euro) and you won\'t have to queue.
We chose to go out on the Friday and the whole weekend was amazing. Saturday afternoon we headed down to the waterfront there is an Irish bar that shows two 3PM premiership matches live.
Like I said It was to be a once in a lifetime experience, that has now changed, next Season we\'re of to Milan and the following season Munich. I can\'t rate this company or the experience highly enough.
A great break - although we were told our hotel room had been cancelled when checking in!!!!! Absolute panic and very embaressing. we rang the emergency number and it was sorted within half an hour. Seats were great and we wnjoyed the football thoroughly.Barcelona was amazing and we can\'t wait to return. The reps from Footballbreak answered all our queries quickly.
Tip: Take good walking shoes!
It was a terrific experience and the seats we had were excellent. The only problem was the delay on the flight coming home. Not much to do near our hotel but the actual match and stadium were brilliant. However the hotel was close to the stadium in walking distance which was excellent.
We went on the trip for my sons 18th birthday and we both had amazing trip. I would recommend a trip to Real Madrid to anyone. Looking forward to our next trip, maybe Milan next time :)
very well managed service, tickets arrived at hotel before we arrived and people we dealt with were excellent. Atmosphere in the stadium was fantastic with stadium full to capacity, very dedicated fans but never felt any concern particularly important as we went with our sons, aged 13 and 14.
The seats you arranged for us were brilliant we had upgraded to middle section and ended up on the front row, we couldn\'t believe it and it made our weekend away definitely one to remember, thank you.
Tip: the hotel was perfectly ok and very friendly staff. it was a bit shabby but this was reflected in the price so fair enough. stayed in PIo Principe, a great location.
We had an awesome time - didn\'t know quite what to expect in terms of the seats but we ended up in the front row, right by the corner flag which Benzema scored from! Awesome game, awesome atmosphere and great hotel right in the heart of the city. Would happily book through footballbreaks again.
The total experience was fantastic. I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending footballbreak to anyone. The game itself was superb with Messi (my grandson\'s hero) scoring twice. A memory to cherish forever!
I am not used to booking a \'package\' holiday. Usually do all of it myself so I was a little anxious about leaving all the arrangements to someone else. My fears were unfounded, I couldn\'t have done it any better myself. We would definitely use Football Breaks again. All the elements of our trip were spot on and the match itself was something else. Amazing seats and the atmosphere sent shivers down my spine.
Barcelona won as well. Hotel Icaria where we stayed was a really good, it was a good location for combining beach and city. Nice quiet location with some nice restaurants near by.
Tip: The hop on hop off tour bus is a must for getting around. Getting back to the hotel from the match was easier than I thought it would be, we just followed the crowd. Very family orientated and we felt very safe.
Have to say the trip was nothing short of excellent made even better by Barcelona winning their game 6-0 and my Grandson\'s hero Messi, Scoring twice!
I was a little suspect first of all of booking the trip with a company I had just found online but there wasn\'t any need to worry because everything was exactly as planned and described in the email regarding the trip, I could not of asked for a better package deal, service, flights hotel and match day tickets.
I have been to a fair few grounds around Europe and always wanted to go to watch borussia dortmund because of its famous yellow wall, forget any other ground I would recommend any football fan to go watch a game at the signal iduna park it is incredible. The yellow wall is impressive and they can make some serious noise and they jump up and down constantly which looks amazing, anyone that doesn\'t no about the yellow wall I would seriously recommend them to look it up. The atmosphere from start to finish was the best I have experienced even when dortmund was losing 2-0 it was noisy but the place erupted when they scored twice to get a draw.
Getting to and from the hotel to the stadium was simple, the underground basically takes you straight to the door. Booking through footballbreak.co.uk couldn\'t be easier it\'s simple and quick with no hassle it makes sense to book through this company, i\'ve recommend it to my family and friends and will be booking with them again and again, they offer a great service I emailed them a couple of times and got a rapid reply answering all my questions.
Dortmund as a city didn\'t seem to have much of a night life but there\'s plenty to do during the day I will be going back, highly recommend going to watch borussia dortmund and use football break.co.uk.
Tip: Use the underground it will take you from hotel or town centre straight to the ground. Get there early as the queues to get in can get very big. You need a card to buy food and drink inside the ground but you can buy when inside.
I took my son to see Barcelona v Athletico Madrid. I can\'t compliment Football Breaks enough for a superbly organised trip. Flights were on time (arriving early both ways) and match tickets were waiting for use when we arrived at hotel. The Nou Camp atmosphere was incredible (especially when Barca scored). The seats we received were perfect and gave us a brilliant view of the game. The following day we had a great time exploring Barcelona city centre. On the final day we opted for the stadium tour & it\'s not to be missed. This trip was something I will never forget... Thank you Football Breaks
Tip: Ensure you take the stadium tour, it\'s one not to be missed.
Was great to have whole package in one - service was great from football break, as I added my husband later when we realised that we didn\'t really want our son to go on his own (even if he is 21, it was a big deal for him and a better experience with his Dad than on his own) their seats were together and all was good.
Tip: Ensure you do the stadium tour, even if you don\'t have match tickets - well worth the trip on it\'s own!
I did lots of research on where to get a \'football break\' to surprise my boyfriend for his 30th Birthday and Footballbreak.com appeared to have the best recommendations that take into account everything you would need for the whole trip. I wasn\'t disappointed when booking the trip and found the whole process was easy to follow and very extremely efficient. The trip itself was amazing, I booked for the last game of the season watching Real Madrid vs Espanyol and the game, atmosphere and stadium didn\'t disappoint! Plus my boyfriend was excited to watch a Real Madrid game live rather than on the tv each week! The hotel we stayed in was in walking distance from the stadium and a metro ride from the town centre. Madrid itself was lovely and lots to do and see, lots of lovely places to eat also. The weather was amazing which also helped!! Would definitely recommend.
Tip: The metro system is really easy to use and a cheap way to get around well worth using. We did the Madrid city bus tour on our last day, which was really good, but would probably recommend doing the tour on the first day, as it gave us a better idea where everything was in relation to certain areas, shopping, museums, tapas bars etc. I would definitely recommend the Stadium tour, even if you\'re not a football or Real Madrid fan, it\'s well worth the money.
The whole package was easy to put together and although the match was postponed initially footballbreak gave us several options and rebooked the whole package for us at no extra charge.
The atmosphere at Campnou was second to none. The only downside was the directions from the underground to the hotel were vague but the locals helped us out.
However, we have decided to make this an annual trip and with footballbreak\'s help we will be booking a different venue each year.
Tip: Savour the atmosphere of the stadium by getting there early then hang around afterwards and take as many pictures of this fantastic stadium and the surrounding venue.
We booked to see Real Madrid V Almeria for our anniversary so wanted a football trip but also a great hotel and total package and this really didn\'t disappoint!. The flight was easy and comfortable and we chose to buy a metro card at the airport as the hotel was fairly central. The journey was easy and navigating the metro during our stay was very simple and great for hopping around the city. We used our ticket which cost €18 so many times during the 3 days we were there going in and around the city, back and forth from the Bernabau Stadium and also to pay a visit to the Athletico Madrid Stadium. The hotel was fantastic, just out of central Madrid but the room was large, comfortable and the breakfast was varied and delicious. The staff were great and keen to talk football with us over a beer and bar snacks. The tickets were waiting for us at reception and we had a fantastic time when we arrived pre match as we joined the locals in a bar and had a few drinks with them. Everyone was really friendly even if our Spanish was not great! Football seems to bring everyone together! The match was a cracker, and the seats were better than I had anticipated. We enjoyed the whole weekend so much that we really want to go back again. I can\'t thank you or recommend you enough, thanks for a fantastic anniversary trip!! We are now looking at another one for next year :)
This trip was to celebrate my son\'s 21st and it was a great success. We stayed at Hotel 10 Itaca which was very good. Helpful, English speaking staff. Hotel close to metro and a couple of stops from Camp Nou but we chose to walk there (25 -30 min easy walk). Great for access to Central Barcelona on metro - we visited Sagrada Familia and la Rambla as well as the Camp Nou museum and tour - boys loved it. This was my first trip of this kind and I had loads of questions to ask Football Break.com but they were always quick and courteous in their response.
Tip: Great family atmosphere at Camp Nou so suitable for children. Worthwhile visiting the stadium tour. Beware of pavement cafés in la Rambla - don\'t just ask for a beer without asking price as a lot of them serve huge glasses at €10-12 each! I was offered a glass of sangria and it was €12! So, just check what you are getting if you drink in this spot.
I purchased a 3 nt break to Barcelona as a xmas present for my husband. We have both wanted to visit the Nou Camp and boy did it live up to our expectations. The trip was fantastic start to finish. I cant rate Footballbreak highly enough, flight and hotel tickets arrived by email with clear instructions. The football tickets were waiting for us when we arrived - all perfect. The experience of being part of the crowd at the Nou Camp was unbelievable. Barcelona itself was clean, sunny and easy to get around.
Tip: If going to Barcelona, I would recommend the metro system. We never had to wait anymore than 3 minutes and that was just having missed a tube - brilliant.
The city itself was abit dull but the hotel was very good, right in the heart of the city and 10 min walk from the underground station, the game at signal iduna park was unreal the atmosphere was out of this world and the fans were great. Also did the stadium tour which was well worth it, you can either do it in german or english, paid €10 euro\'s and you can purchase tickets in the borusseum on the 2nd floor in the club shop. I would definitely go back again for the football the fans and the atmosphere was different class altogether.
Tip: Visit the westfalen park up tower amazing views over dortmund.
The package we had was Hotel and Tickets? We made our own arrangements for the flights. The match was a one sided affair but was worth every penny. The weather was rather inclement but that\'s not any ones fault. The Aparthotel Galeon G3 was adequate with the staff being very helpful and quite close to the Bernabau Stadium (20mins walk).I would have preferred to have Tea making facilities in the room but that was not a major problem. The Tickets were delivered the evening before the game (excellent), the service from Football Break was faultless so all in all I would hesitate to use the Company again and would also recommend a trip to anyone.
Tip: Our Hotel was close to the ground but I think we would have better off staying closer to the centre of Madrid for more choices of Bars and Restaurants etc. Having said that the transport away from the ground after the game might have been a lot of hassle re the Metro i.e. gaining access with the large crowd and tickets for travel on the Metro with the instuctions being in Spanish
I booked the trip to see Real Madrid as a surprise present for my partners 50th Birthday. I was slightly nervous booking with an internet company that I had no knowledge of but I cannot fault the company for service and my expectations of the trip were surpassed. The hotel and flight were all as expected and the match tickets were delivered to the hotel the night before the game. The seats that we had were excellent, 2nd row of the 2nd tier, not \'up in the Gods\' which I was slightly nervous of! I recommend upgrading your tickets to Category 2 as it is well worth it. The only thing that let us down on the day was the weather, it rained heavily during the match but we were lucky enough to be under cover so only got slightly damp! The atmosphere on the night was excellent, we were sat amongst a mixture of Real Madrid and Real Vallacano fans who were all really friendly and added to the experience. Madrid is a lovely city, if you stay in the centre it is easy to get around on foot. The City Tour which was included in the package was appreciated and well worth it.
Tip: Use the Metro as it is cheap and really easy to navigate. Definitely do the Stadium Tour if you have time but don\'t do it on a match day as you are unable to go in the changing rooms. If you want to buy a Real Madrid shirt do so before you go as they are far more expensive in the Megastore (90 euros).
Barcelona is a lovely city with plenty to do and see. The Nou Camp was breath-taking, we loved every minute of it and went back the day after the game to do the tour and museum. The whole experience was awesome and everything went to plan, the museum tickets came before the trip and match tickets were waiting for us upon our arrival. The hotel was great and travelling around was easy, the guidance and information provided by FootballBreak prior to the visit were really helpful and it was a great way to celebrate my sons 13th birthday with him. It wasn\'t quite a full house at the game but the atmosphere and stadium made it a really special experience.
Tip: Definitely worth doing the stadium tour/museum as well as taking in a game. The tour buses were excellent value and got you round all the sites.
El Clasico with my brother was very possibly the best weekend and football match I have ever been to (including the Champions League Final at Wembley). The flight was very good and ensured that regardless of when the match was being played we would have plenty of time to spare. The hotel was perfectly located in the city centre, making the entire weekend hassle free. Naturally, my main concern was regarding the tickets, but this was immediately resolved as they were handed over as soon as we checked in to the hotel. The seats in the Stadium were a tad disappointing, as I thought we would be closer (The second best package available turned out to be 4th tier). However, the match/atmosphere/experience was incredible and I would recommend this to any football fan.
Tip: Madrid is a brilliant city, but doesn\'t really have that many "stand-out" or "must-visit" places. I would recommend walking around the entire city (its not that big), stopping off for drinks and tapas along the way. Best way to take in the culture!
This visit to Barcelona was a Christmas present for my father who is a F.C. Barcelona fan. It is the first time we have booked through FootballBreak.co.uk and it is always with a slight concern when you use these services for the first time.
We flew from and to Bristol Airport using Easyjet, again for the first time, and stayed at the Hotel Colon in Barcelona. We were told that the match tickets would be sent to the hotel the day before or on the morning of the match. Again a slight concern would the tickets arrive? This is where all the concerns ended, the flights were great, on time with no issues, we arrived at the hotel around 9pm on the Friday evening with the match being on the Sunday. We checked into the hotel and were handed an envelope containing two match tickets as ordered, no need to be concerned about anything!!
The Hotel had and excellent central location about 5 to 10 mins walk from La Ramblas and was very smart and clean. Barcelona is a wonderful city with plenty to see and do and we spent Saturday sight seeing.
Sunday was Match day, Barcelona versus Osasuna, with a 5pm kick off. We had a taxi to the Camp Nou and arrived about 1 hour before kick off. What an experience it is to actually attend such a magnificent stadium on match day the atmosphere is truly magic. The seats were great with two seats together as promised. Barcelona went on to win 7-0 so what a match to pick. We used the Metro to get back to La Ramblas, that was an experience in itself...
Monday was again spent sightseeing before returning home on Tuesday. This trip turned out to be one of the best weekends we have ever experienced, the organisation by FootballBreak.co.uk was fantastic with no issues what so ever. Booking was simple online and all paperwork arrived via e-mail when it was due. We cannot thank them enough for an excellent trip.
Tip: Barcelona is a big city, use the Hop-on, Hop-off buses to sight see and the Metro is good too. Food is reasonable with plenty of bars and restaurants.
Barcelona had so much to offer, and we all felt we intended to return but, longer next time. The outward flight was on time, and we arrived at Barcelona in the sunshine! This, no doubt, was a good omen for our long weekend! The hotel was less than 2 minutes from the underground station, which was easily found after leaving the airport by train. The hotel staff were very helpful and courteous, and our room was clean and spacious. The "Camp Nou" was certainly an experience none of us will forget. The stadium was less than 1/2 hour away from the hotel, and the atmosphere was second to none. Osasuna were mere pawns in a game of Barca chess. Messi was sublime, scoring a hat-trick, and beating the all time goal scoring record for Barca, at the same time. 7-0 reflected their dominance. We also pre-paid for a stadium tour, later in our stay, which was mind blowing! So much history, and we spent the majority of the day, soaking it up. Whilst in Barcelona, we couldn\'t miss out on visiting the Sagrada Familia - WOW! We found the food to our liking, and the beer, cold! In conclusion, this won\'t be our last trip to Barcelona, and will certainly organise it again with "Football Breaks"! THANK YOU!!
Tip: Confirm which return airport terminal is required in pre-flight paperwork.
Great value you for money, the hotel couldn\'t be better situated for the ground and a short walk to it. Whilst the hotel was out of the city centre, we took advantage of the 3 day metro pass which only cost 18 Euros for the 3 days and we simply hopped on and off it when we wanted to. As this was the first time I had used FootballBreak.co.uk, I was a little apprehensive as to what the hotel would be like, would the match tickets arrive at the hotel as arranged, especially as we had paid over 3K for 11 lads to go. But I must say there was no need to worry and I would recommend you and will definitely use your services for future breaks. Proffessional and great service from start to finish.
Tip: If you want a beer around the ground before the match get there early, there are plenty of little tapas bars around.
I was concerned about using FootballBreak as i hadn\'t heard of them before. However, I needn\'t have worried. The overall experience was smooth and trouble free. Everything came exactly when they said it would, the flights were on time and the hotel was clean and tidy. The tickets were at the hotel upon our arrival and the football match was incredible. Dortmund is renowned for its atmosphere and we really were blown away!
Tip: Not a big city for partying. There are, of course places to have a drink but if you are looking for a holiday to enjoy nightlife Dortmund is not the best.
Charlie on a mission.
I could not fault the entire football break experience. The hotel was just amazing and perfect location for getting to the Barcelona FC Ground. The seats we had for the actual game were fantastic, right on the half way line in the first tier. And also the tickets were given to me when we checked into our hotel the day before the match. Barcelona won the game 6-0 and it will certainly be one of the highlights of my life getting to see one of my favourite football teams win in such an amazing stadium, the atmosphere was unbelievable. Thank you for such a wonderful trip for Valentine\'s weekend.
Tip:Use the metro to get around the City, it is very cheap and easy to use. Very similar to the tube in London and also make sure you watch your valuables and handbags when in Las Ramblas, I noticed a couple of women eyeing up my handbag but luckily I noticed them so make sure you keep a look out for possible pick pocketers.
My partner and myself booked to stay in Madrid for four nights, which included tickets to see Real Madrid vs Villarreal. The service received from Football Break was top notch, could not fault anything from the trip. Flight information, boarding passes and tickets were sent in good time before the trip, the hotel was booked with no problem and the seats for the match were outstanding! I would definitely recommend visiting The Bernabeu for a match, unreal atmosphere! It was very relaxing knowing that Football Break had sorted all the details out for our trip, and when we did have a query they solved it quicky and efficiently. All in all a fantastic trip to a wonderful city.
Tip: Do use the Metro as much as possible, by far and away the easiest way to travel around Madrid! Also, if you are planning on visiting tourist attractions, then I would suggest purchasing the Madrid Card, which is available from the Airport or Tourist Information centres across the city.
Not used football break before and only came across them by searching on the internet. I went to a Real Madrid game with my son as he watches them all the time on TV in the uk. The flights were ok and on time. The San Carlos hotel we stayed in was superb for what we needed and was in a central location which was ideal. Real Madrid won 4-2 so we were lucky that the game had plenty of goals. We paid extra for a better seats and it was well worth it. Wouldn\'t hesitate to use football break again.
Tip:If using the Metro get a ten trip ticket from the airport and you can use it between you as it is allowed for you to pass the ticket to one another.
I arranged this trip for a surprise for my husbands 40th birthday, and was so happy with the whole experience. Our flight from Luton. Was smooth and on time. The easy jet cabin crew sold us our metro tickets, which was a big help on our arrival. The metro was very easy to use, and we were constantly hopping on and off all weekend. The San Lorenzo hotel was perfectly located in the heart of Madrid. Staff there were very friendly, and the rooms although small, we\'re very clean and more than adequate. On arrival at our hotel, we were given our match tickets. Wow these seats were amazing, I had paid for the up grade, but was still blown away to be sat so close, the atmosphere was amazing never experienced anything like it before. The next day we did the stadium tour this is defiantly to be recommended. We also were given a free bus tour around Madrid, to which we thoroughly enjoyed. All round perfect trip.
Tip: Use the metro, and try and see everything going. Madrid is a wonderful city.
I purchased a football break to Real Madrid v Villareal and enjoyed our weekend. The weather was a bit wet and windy but alas it was February after all.Our flights outbound and inbound were adequate and reasonably priced. You aren\'t in the skies too long which is good.Taxi a little expensive from the airport to our hotel(€30 for a ten minute journey). The hotel had adequate facilities and was clean and pleasant. We were situated about 5-10mins walk away from the stadium which was handy. The game was great and the tour of the stadium at your own leisure was ideal for the Sunday as our match was on the Saturday evening.Souvenir shop a tad expensive with a Ronaldo 7 shirt setting us back €96.The website was considerably cheaper and was £63 for the same thing!! All in all a good weekend and an experience worth taking out if only to say you\'ve stood in that great arena where legends have played. Our only downside being Man.Utd fans was that Ronaldo had been suspended from the previous weeks red card and we didn\'t get to see our hero play.....cest la vie as they say.Enjoy.....Andy & Kerry, from Wigan.
Tip: Tempting to buy from the souvenir shop but if you can be patient.....unlike myself.....then wait until you get home and buy online.Youll need longer than 3 days if you wanna take in the sites of Spain\'s capital also if your planning to view the city centre.
We stayed in Milan but over the 4 days our trip went like this Fri- arrived in Milan, tour of San Siro and Museum. Evening in Milan City which was beaufitful Sat we travelled through to Turin to tour Juventus Stadium which was outstanding. Although getting to it was a trek once in Turin Sat night went to Ac Milan v Torino game. Which was a great experience, great seats and Torino fans were crazy..flares, smoke bombs etc..We loved it. Sunday- up early and travelled through to Venice for the day. Another beautiful place, even though the weather was awful it didnt spoil our day. Monday we travelled home
Tip: Milan was a beautiful place as was Venice but we disnt tour enough of Milan with exception of Duomo Square which qas amazing
Excellent service from FootballBreak when organising and booking the trip. Our party was a Stag Do and had a great weekend away. Hotel was great and situated in town centre, ideal for our trip. Hotel clean and tidy. Breakfasts were great and staff very helpful and spoke good English. Would highly recommend. Took the stress and hassle out of our trip using Football break which was ideal when we had such a large group.
Tip: Get the metro 3 day pass for 20e. Excellent value for money and can be used on buses too. Be careful of pickpocketers thou. One of our group had a phone taken whilst using it in the street and another nearly had his wallet pickpocketed.
Both my wife and myself thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Barcelona. I wouldn\'t recommend the Hotel Derby, on arrival the bar was not open, no tea/coffee facilities in the room and a bit far out of the city for ease of the main attractions. Match and seats faultless, three rows from the pitch, fantastic.Barcelona is a beautiful city and I would recommend the Hop on Hop off tourist bus.
I was a bit dubious about booking this trip as I knew nothing about Football Breaks but I need not have worried. I booked a trip for me (almost 50) and my son (almost 30) as a joint birthday trip to Barcelona to watch the match against Elche. I liked the idea of all parts of the trip being arranged as one but never expected it to be done so well and so efficiently. Prior to the trip I had a few questions and emailed them in. Every time I asked a question I had a reply in under 24 hours. Three weeks before I was emailed the Hotel voucher, Flight vouchers, Boarding passes and some important information about the trip offering advice and a contact number if there were any issues, THERE WERE NOT!! They had even sorted the API for the flights. As for the trip itself everything went smoothly. The Hotel was well located, clean, well equipped and the staff friendly and helpful. They even allowed us to check in 2 hours early after an early flight. The match itself was an experience to remember. I upgraded the tickets to the 2nd level but never expected such seats as we had. Eleven rows back from the side of the pitch right by the dugout. The view was amazing. The whole atmosphere in the stadium was something we will never remember. Barcelona was a stunning city and we had plenty of time to get around the sites. I am all ready looking at other trips using Football Breaks. Madrid or Munich I think!!!
Tip: Barcelona is an easy city to get around using the metro but we walked everywhere as we did not want to miss a thing.
The trip was out of this world. From booking it everyone i asked questions to helped me straight away. The stadium and match was fantastic. Without a doubt the best football stadium football has to offer with all the history that goes with it and trophies won and players that play. Madrid was very nice but we spent most of our time at the stadium. The tour was also a highlight.
Tip: All id say is visiting the Bernabeu is a must for any football fan. It dont matter if Real Madrid are your team or not this is the place to go for everything you would want from a football trip.
The whole experience was very good the hotel was ok just that the resturant was not up to much only one person in the bar and they were serving the resturant as well so service was slow may be this was because it was out of season. As for the seat tickets for the game I paid the extra for the better seats these were exellent three rows from the front, atmosphere was good.the ease of the package was very good information about getting to the hotel and match time very good.As for Barcalona it\'s self if we had stayed around the hotel and around the stadium we wouldn\'t have had a very good impression of the area but if you go get on the tour buses which takes you round the hole of Barcalona and you can get on and off at different stops to take in the sites and the beautiful architecture and the markets .
Tip: If you enjoy football well worth the experience stadium out of this world and stadium tour well worth the money also if the game is on the Saturday you can watch the youngsters from the academy playing a match on the pitch over the road from the stadium..
My son and I had the trip of a lifetime, we spent the first few days attending the Santiago Bernabeu, game which was spectacular then a tour which was equally spectacular it was awe inspiring but you have to see the city it is fantastic and the metro is easy and cheap enough for you get around.
Tip: Trip of a lifetime, must do for football or Madridista fans.
Jack & James Morgan visited Real Madrid
Absolutely 1st rate. Took my son to see Real Madrid…everything went like clockwork, the package made everything so simple. Match tickets were brilliant 6 rows from the front,so great view & got to see the players close up. The hotel was walking distance from the stadium, was basic but comfortable & staff were great, The service from football breaks was outstanding .... everything was booked, the match tickets were at the hotel waiting for us when we arrived. We will definitely book with football breaks again.
the overall package of the trip was excellent.the hotel was basic but thats all i required as there was just 2 men going.the flight was good and the tickets i requested were in the top tier but that is all i asked for.the atmosphere was really good.overall the package was as i requested and the service i received was excellent.the only down side to madrid wasat the time we were there the street cleaners were on strike .the streets and side streets was covered in not just litter but all kinds of rubbish
Tip: the metro is a lot easier to use than i first thought and also a lot cheaper than taxis
Would like to thank football breaks for a great service provided in making this a trip of a lifetime. They provided information on all available flights, a great selection of hotels and of course guaranteed seats with the option of upgrading if required. Which we did. Basically a great package. I e-mailed football breaks a couple of times with questions regarding my upcoming trip and was very impressed with a speedy personal reply. I visited Madrid for Real Madrid v Real Sociedad and found it to be very warm, friendly, football loving city. As for the Bernabeu.... What a stadium.
Tip: I have two tips to offer travellers to Madrid. Use the Metro system. Very easy to use. €4.90 from the airport to the city centre and €1.90 to get around the city. The second tip. Do the stadium tour. Very good.
Football Break were very helpful and efficient. They responded to emails and phone calls promptly and the match tickets were safely at the hotel. The seats were great - right by the pitch. My only warning to other users relates to Spanish games - the (fairly regular) last minute switch of days in our Barcelona game was (unusually) to a Friday (!!), which threw our plans and costs into disarray. Nothing to do with FootballBreak at all, and they did their best to sort it out.
Tip: Wonderful wonderful city. Nou Camp - 100,000 spectators left the grounding 10 minutes - remarkable. However, on departure Les Corts metro had huge queues. Not sure the best Plan B, but worth having one.
I took my 15 year old son to see Barcelona play against Espanyol who is extremely passionate about his football and they won 1-0, our only disappointment was that Messi didn\'t score however it didn\'t dampen the experience whatsoever. We\'ve been to many places around the world but I will never forget my son\'s face when he saw the stadium, I\'ve never seen him so overjoyed. I\'m not a big football fan but enjoyed every minute of it. The representatives were extremely helpful always replying to me very quickly with any queries I had. The atmosphere in the stadium was something I have never experienced, my son didn\'t want to leave. Barcelona city is an amazing place, we saw so much in just 2 days although it was tiring. The Senator Hotel was lovely, the staff were very helpful and the bonus was that it was just a 5 minute walk from the ground. We wouldn\'t think twice about booking with football break again. We had an amazing time and have memories we will cherish forever.
Tip: I personally feel that it is a must to do the stadium tour, you will definetly be impressed. I would also advise purchasing a one or two day bus tour ticket which takes you all round the city and picks you up right outside the stadium, you also receive a coupon booklet which has a discount voucher inside for the stadium tour.
Total package excelled expectations, slight problem with triple room at hotel, but after one quick telephone call to the emergency number supplied all sorted within five minutes. Would recommend Football breaks over any other company and much easier than booking everything oneself.
Well organised trip with no hiccups. Although the match was brought forward 24 hours to our arrival day we had plenty of time to get to the game and savour the atmosphere which was slightly subdued but it was great to see the style of European football and the world\'s greatest footballer playing live.
Tip: The five day Metro card purchased at the airport was excellent value. I would recommend staying at a Eurostar hotel and the city bus tours on day one which give a good insight of the places to visit. Allow three days to see the major attractions although 5/7 days could be well spent.
Excellent trip and excellent value for money.Fantastic seats at San Ciro - worth the upgrade. Great atmosphere generated by both Inter and Verona fans. We arrived a couple of hours before the game to soak up the atmosphere and it was well worth it. Plenty to see in Milan but as with most of Italy - very expensive particularly within 1 Km of Doume. Metro fantastic value though and easy to navigate your way round the city on this. We used Terravision buses to transfer from Bergamo Airport to central Milan - really cheap and excellent service.
we had a fantastic trip to see real madrid @ the bernabeu stadium.i did have reservations of going online and using a company i hadn`t heard of and ironically when we arrived at the hotel the tickets were not there(they actually were but the hotel had put them in the wrong safe).despite a small panic on my part the football break staff were excellent and sorted everything out.in fact the level of service from start to finish was excellent and i will definately use them again.
Tip: you need ID when shopping using a credit card. definately use the metro..clean/safe/cheap.
Hotel staff friendly and could speak fairly good English. Hotel itself was quite noisy and room smelt of cigarette smoke. Great seats at the football and would would recommend clients to pay for the upgrade to better seats. Madrid was great and interesting for a few day visit,
Tip: Upgrade to better seats and do the stadium tour.
The hotel was good, the flights were all on time and didn\'t have any issues. The stadium & match atmosphere was fantastic, best I have ever experienced. The service was very good from football breaks & would definitely use the again.
Tip: Take time to look at the tube, it\'s a great way to easily gets around. La rambla at night is just amazing.
V good overall. Perhaps an idiots guide for what else to arrange (airport parking, health insurance). Didn\'t notice the metro station to get off at until after I was in the hotel (bold or highlight maybe). Please double warn that Ryanair charge 20 euros for each kg over 20kg your suitcase is!! What a rip off No huge criticisms as your staff wee all helpful on the phone and email Thank you
This is my second booking with FootballBreak. Having had a successful first trip to Barcelona, I did not hesitate to use the company again for our trip to Munich. Again, I was very happy with the total package and Munich surpassed all expectations. Fantastic atmosphere and everything is so well run!
Tip: I would recommend visting the stadium\'s museum, and taking a stadium tour in addition to watching a game. Also, if you stay and extra day, do take a trip to Bayern Munich\'s training ground. If they play on Saturday, you can watch them train on Monday (at 11am). We saw all of the 1st team train, and Pepe Guardiola signed my son\'s shirt - unbeatable experience! To make it a complete lads holiday - a trip to the BMW museum is certainly worth taking.
Fear not ! This internet based company delivers. It was with some trepidation I booked tickets for El Classico as you pay for the package/flights/tickets upfront and the tickets are delivered to your hotel the night before the match. The booking process is straightforward and clever givng you the opportunity to match a hotel according to your budget/requirements, Rebecca was extremely helpful on telephone and by email contact, I received email updates, the hotel voucher arrived a week before as promised and the tickets were delivered to the hotel the night before the match as promised. Of course you accept you pay more than face value, but FootballBreak.co.uk deliver. I would not hesitate to use the company again. We had a great time.
Tip: Make sure you have arranged your transport back to the city centre after the match. Do not rely on flagging down a taxi!
The package was great as I had no clue were to start to book this for my boyfriend , the hotel was a bit clueless on arrival they did not seem to understand about my football tickets being with them which freaked me out a bit but was soon resolved . The atmosphere on the day was fantastic
Tip: It\'s a once in a lifetime experience forget the price like I did and visit
Stephen Meehan and Caroline Rigg in Camp Nou
We went, as a family to see Real Madrid v Seville, and have a short city break in Madrid. The whole package was excellent, we were able to amend it to suite our wants. We stayed for 3 nights, changed our seats in the stadium, flight times and we were able to choose a hotel in Madrid’s old town. When we needed to speak to the representatives from FootballBreak they were friendly and very helpful. The match tickets were waiting for us when we checked into our hotel, and even though the match kicked off late (10pm local time) it was a great spectacle (7 - 3 to Madrid).
Tip: As we chose a hotel in the centre of the old town of Madrid and used taxis to and from the stadium. Whilst it was busy after the game, there were plenty of taxis (we only had to wait a couple of minutes) and they are not an unreasonable price. We also used the local taxis to and from the airport, again with no issues and very speedy. Madrid is a beautiful city and, for a capital city, the cost of eating and drinking out isn’t unreasonable.
Me and my friend went to see Real Madrid vs Juventus. The total package was fine and I recieved all the information that I though was neccesary. Only one thing which was a problem was that I got given a double bed room when I did book a 2 single beds. Luckily the hotel was able to switch rooms. The atmosphere was amazing, the best stadium I have ever been too. Madrid is a very beautiful city with very good food.
Tip: Buy a metro pass! It cost me 18 euro\'s for 3 days. Go to the airport T1, T2, T3 metro station and purchase it. Also visit an information centre to pick up a street map. Visit the Plaza Mayor, the paella their was fantastic! I recommend staying for 2 nights just to experience most of Madrid.
The flights were easy and comfortable with good clear navigation to where our hotel was. Hotel was smart and tidy and in a great location. Stadium was amazing if a little empty but a great experience.
Tip: Do your research on the travel from the airport and also research the metro too! By easiest and cheapest method of travel!!!
Absolutely fantastic!!! Using football break made the whole experience easy and stress free. Will definitely be using them again
Tip: If you want to do the Camp Nou tour, make sure that the stadium is not closed to the public on the day you wish to visit if you choose to but tickets before you leave the UK
I took my 17 year old son to watch Bayern Munich v Barcelona in the Uli Hoeness Charity Cup and thoroughly enjoyed the experience made very easy by the details supplied by FootballBreak. The hotel was excellent and near to a railway station. We spent 4 days in Munich mainly due to flight availability from Manchester but it was well worth it giving us time to see some sights in the city. The Allianz Arena is still very \'new\' but a full stadium created a good atmosphere - the transport arrangements around the stadium were very well organised and didn\'t experience long delays. The only slight disappointment was that the tickets were for seats only a few rows from the back of the stadium - will almost certainly upgrade tickets for any future booking
Tip: The train system is good but they did use shuttle buses to and from the stadium and took us back to a different station although it was fairly easy to work out where we needed to be.
Very good package hotel and flights also greats seats for game everything went very smoothly!
Tip: I would just say to check out where the centre is before you go!
A great package, all but the transfer from the airport sorted, tickets waiting at hotel on check in for the match, seats were 5 rows from the front, my 11 year old lad thought he was in heaven seeing Ronaldo score and Real win 5-1.
We arranged this trip as a surprise for my Dad\'s 60th as he had always wanted to go to Madrid. The overall service received from football break was excellent and they organised everything from start to finish. It really was the most hassle free booking of a holiday I have known. We requested seats on the side of the Bernebeu, and although this was not guaranteed, football break managed to sort this out for us. The atmosphere was pretty decent overall and Madrid were 2 up after 15 minutes. We were settle a cricket score but then the ref sent Sergio Ramos off after 20 minutes and that seriously hampered Madrid\'s attacking threat. That said, it was still a competitive fixture and gave Vallecano half a chance. The refereeing display ensured a hostile response from the Madridistas but this added to the experience! Madrid was a beautiful city and some of the architecture was a sight to behold. The representatives of Football Break made sure the weekend was a great experience and we all really enjoyed the trip.
Tip: Make sure you go on the ground tour as the Bernebeu really is a footballing cathedral. Walking round the stadium on a non-match day was great and I would really recommend it to anyone.
My son & I just arrived back from our trip to Barcelona and I would like to give you some feedback, as this is the first time that we have used Footballbreak.co.uk
The organisation was first class and the travel went without a hitch. The hotel was nice, and in a quiet location, with good facilities and importantly it was near to Camp Nou. I was a little nervous about travelling without the Camp Nou without the tour tickets and match tickets, but you assured me that they would be waiting for me in the hotel, and just as promised they were given to me at check-in. To top it all Barcelona won 6 – 1, wow.
Using Footballbreak.co.uk takes the hassle and strain out of booking these complex holidays, as travel, hotel, match tickets, tours, etc, are all booked for you at one point. The staff are very polite and professional and kept me informed throughout the booking process.
I will certainly use Footballbreak.co.uk in the future and will strongly recommend them to my friends and colleagues.
Many thanks for making our trip to Camp Nou so very memorable.
C G Sample.
The whole package was great, we had good flights that were on time. We flew Ryanair and you get what you pay for but a short haul flight is not a problem and only taking hand luggae saves loads of time before and after you land, we used the bus into the city which was fine. It took about half an hour and dropped us in the city centre. Hotel was fine, we booked the standard 2 star hotel and for a short stay is all you bneed. The staff were helpful and all the tickets were waiting for us when we checked in. Great seats in the ground, it wasnt full as they were playing Real Madrid twice the follwoning week but the atmosphere was still great. It was cold though, If you go mid winter expect the same weather you get in England and wrap up. We got the Metro back from the ground, We had to swap trainslines but this was easy enough. We felt very safe the whole trip but beware of beggars in the centre of Barcelona they have some unusual ways of asking you for money!! It was a trouble free experience for us and I would certainly use the company again for other football trips.
Tip: If you are staying in the centre buy a ticket for the City Tour Bus. It is a great way to get your bearings and see the sights of the city. We used it to travel up to the ground on Match day and then again the next day to take the Stadium tour. Try the small tapas bars off the main streets for something to eat, we had some great meals and got good value. The Market off Las Ramblas is also worth a look round
Bought the trip as a birthday present for my boyfriend. Both thoroughly enjoyed the trip! We stayed at the Evenia Rocafort hotel- perfect location for las ramblas and metro to the stadium! Excellent match- Barcelona 6- 1 Getafe! Paid extra to upgrade the seats by one band and definitley worth the upgrade!! Certainly using football breaks for our next trip- saves having to work out flight times and tickets yourself!
Tip: Pay extra for the upgraded seats at camp nou and do the tour of the stadium and museum! Some amazing restaurants in the city- especially one called Moritz Barcelona! Expect to pay more for food and drinks on las ramblas but slightly off that street, food is half the price.
This was fantastic I can\'t fault footballbreak.co.uk, everything we booked was there. Hotel was central Madrid and was perfect for access to the metro and buses. It was better than I expected.
Fantastic trip, this was for my children and they found the experiencing amazing, we upgraded the seats and had front row for Real Madrid v Real Sociadad. Excellent trip
I was a little sceptical as I had never taken a trip like this before but was pleasantly surprised by how well it all worked out from the hotel to ticket collection match seats and stadium tour. The flights were on time and at excellant times during the day. Myself and my son really enjoyed the whole weekend in a great city and the result also went our way with Barca playing some great football and winning with their usual stlye. We are already looking to next season when we will be looking to do it again and have also recommended the ease of booking and quality service from your company to our friends.
Tip: Make sure that you get the metro multi jouney tickets sorted early on as that makes travel across the city so much better and easier during your trip.
We have just had a fabulous weekend in Barcelona to see FC Barcelona play Real Madrid. The seats were superb, the atmosphere was electric, and it was the best game we have ever seen. The hotel was great and the whole weekend was out of this world. We cannot thank you enough for arranging the whole fantastic experience. Everything was superb. Many Thanks.
We had a great time on our trip to Madrid to see a Real Madrid match. The cost of the package was excellent and well worth every penny. The hotel was basic but clean and staff were as helpful as they could be taking into consideration the language barrier. Our football tickets were waiting for us. The room was ample big enough for 3 of us and cleaned daily. The trip to the match was brilliant, the atmosphere in and around the stadium was great. We also bought tickets for a tour of the stadium which was a great experience and good value. I cannot fault the service received from staff at FootballBreak.co.uk and would definitely book with them again and recommend them to others. We probably didn\'t get to experience as much of Madrid as we could have but what we did was great fun. All in all a very enjoyable experience and I think its off to Barcelona next year for another football break!
Tip: Use the underground to save money.Madrid is quite expensive and I would recommend visitors getting to grips with the underground as that saved us a fortune! The Real Madrid shop is expensive, buy a football shirt before you go. Also it is much cheaper to eat and drink away from the city centre. If families wish to guarantee they are sat together on Ryan Air they need to prebook their seats as it is a bit like a cattle market as you board! Also make sure you don\'t go over your baggage limits as it costs £20 per extra kilo....the family next to us had to pay out £100 on checking in!
We had tried looked into buying the hotel, flights and tickets all separately, but in the end it was similar cost and much less risk to do this via FootballBreak. Trepidation about match day tickets being where they said they would be, but delivered to the hotel perfectly and fantastic weekend experience.
Tip: Little point getting to ground much before 2 hours to go. Amazing atmosphere. Try to have an extra day or two, stay down near old city and beach and see some sights and have some sun too.
I booked a footballbreak for my son\'s 18th birthday to see Real Madrid v Barcelona (Super Cup). I found the online bookng very simple and straighforward with options to upgrade etc. the whole trip worked like \'clockwork\', hotel Melia Castilla was excellent and well situated for the Santiago Bernabeu. Tickets for the match were at the hotel on arrival the day before the game. Fantastic seats 23 rows back from the front to the left of the goal. I have never experienced an atmosphere like this before. A stadium tour is a must. Madrid is a fine city and the public transport was so easy to use. The trip could not have been more perfect. Having never used footballbreaks previously I was apprehensive re the tickets being there, I need not have worried. Would thoroughly recommend the company.
Tip: Buy a one two or three day metro/bus pass, well worthwhile.
My husband and I had a fantastic long weekend watching Barcelona at the Nou Camp. The flight info arrived well in advance and the match tickets were waiting at the hotel for us. Hotel Zenit borrell was in good location in the city very near the metro. The match was incredible and an amazing atmosphere - very friendly lots of families. Never needed to contact Football Break staff and would definitely recommend them. Looking at where to go next year....
Tip: Would definitely revisit Barcelona with and without children. went end of March and weather perfect- 28 degrees. We got Barcelona ticket for use on all public transport. Pre-ordered online and picked up at Barcelona airport it was brilliant for getting about without stress of money for ticket machines. Not much open on Sundays in city so do any shopping on the Saturday or Monday.
I booked a Football break package for my boys (15 and 12 years of age) and I to watch Barca play a La Liga match against Getafe (10th April) at the Camp Nou stadium. I have never used this company before, but felt assured of their credentials (as they were listed with ABTA). The company did not let us down! We received flight and hotel coupons 10 days before departure, and our match tickets were waiting on our arrival at the hotel. I liked the flexibility of their packages as they allowed us the options to upgrade according to our needs (we upgraded our hotel and football tickets). Apart from the match, Barcelona was a great city to visit - plenty to see, very relaxed, and great food. I was very impressed by the inconspicous handling of crowds by police and was surprised by the ease of leaving the stadium.
Tip: Prior to travel, I purchased Barcelona cards for each of us. This allowed us unlimited use of public transport, free entry to many museums, and discounts on lots of useful things (entry to main tourist sites, 15% reduction on Barcelona shirts at certain shops, 15% discount at certain restaurants etc). The cards come with maps and guides which helped us plan our break.
We felt that the whole package was superb and great value for money. We were lucky enough to spend 4 days in Barcelona so we managed to do a bit of sightseeing as well as attending the Camp Nou. Barcelona is a stunning city with so much to do and the fact that it is home to possibly the best club team ever made it an even more enjoyable visit. We were lucky enough to attend the Camp Nou whilst Pep Guardiola was still in charge and the fact that Valdes, Puyol, Xavi, Iniesta and Messi all played made it that bit more special. I would thoroughly recommend Footballbreak to anyone interested in this type of trip as the service we received was superb; we\'re already looking forward to our next trip!
Tip: The "aerobus" service direct to the city centre from the airport is excellent and very reliable as is the Metro. The whole Camp Nou experience is not to be missed and, if you have enough time, it\'s well worth doing some sightseeing.
We had a fantastic time, arrived at airport in Barcelona just in time to see Real Madrid arrive. Had great time with fans there and it was a good start to match day. Everything went really smoothly from arrival to departure - and we were delighted with result- esp Ronaldo scoring. Seats at Nou Camp were quite far away from pitch but we were near away fans which was fun. Hotel was basic for a 4 star but staff were helpful and it was very convenient. We will definitely do this again- maybe El Clasico in Madrid next season!
Tip: Use public transport to get about - cheap and efficient. Try the local tapas very good but it isn\'t cheap. Had lovely meal at Hard Rock Cafe in main square in Barcelona and interesting walk down La Rambla. Don\'t bother eating/drinking at stadium, expensive and not great.
I recently travelled to Barcelona with my fourteen year old son. I contacted FootballBreak.co.uk who were extremely helpful and informative throughout. We chose a simple but very pleasant hotel which was walking distance from the stadium. Walking back, after the game, the atmosphere around town was wonderful. We had not only just seen Barcelona win, but Lionel Messi score a goal right below us! My son said he will never forget that moment! All the sights in Barcelona, including the street entertainers in the famous Les Ramblas, made this a most memorable experience for us bot.
Tip: If opting to stay in a hotel away from the centre of Barcelona, take the option of booking transfers from the airport. Staying in a hotel that is walking distance from the stadium means you do not have to find transport back to your hotel after the game!
A brilliant trip! Very well organised from start to finish. Hotel Catalonia Aragon is a bit away from the main sights of Barcelona but 10 minutes on the Metro and we were in the heart. An excellent two days just wandering the city, seeing thec sights, drinking coffee and eating tapas. For the match itself we went for the second level of ticket pricing and had superb seats - behind (and some way above!) the goal but at the very front of our particular tier. Atmospere superb despite 'only' 83000 attendance. Thoroughly recommend the whole package.
We had a fantastic time and Rebecca was brilliant in organising the trip, everything was sorted, she even checked us in for both flights, we only had to turn up! the city was beautiful and to be fair the weather was really good as well, the football was a brilliant experience which we would do again, next time we would get better seats but it was still a great atmosphere!
Tip: Trust FootballBreak, Rebecca really helped us and gave good travelling advice from the airport to the hotel and good advice to get to the stadium, we would spend a bit more on the tickets but there was alot of people on my stag do 23 in total so we needed to keep costs down but it would be worth spending a bit more
The trip was well organised with flights at good times and the hotel though fairly average was in an ideal location. Tickets were waiting on arrival and the game was everything that we'd hoped for' even getting to see Messi close up at the end of the game. For my two football mad sons it was a dream of a weekend! The city was beautiful, we wandered through Las Ramblas taking in the sights visiting the Olympic stadium and after going to mass, we spent Sunday on the beach, what more could you ask for? I am hoping to return for a sightseeing trip with my wife.
I purchased this package as a 16th Birthday present surprise for my son. The party included myself, my son, my Brother and Brother in law. The whole package included flights, hotel and match tickets. The ease of booking was excellent as was the service received from the Football Break representative when I called to check a few details. On arrival in Barcelona we caught the train into the City this was so easy and very reasonably priced. On locating our Hotel we booked in and the receptionist handed over our Match tickets. With a few hours to pass before the match we explored Barcelona everything was within walking distance. The hotel receptionist advised us how best to get to the Stadium and this was to get the metro from a tube station around the corner and the station to depart from for the stadium. Again this was so easy and only cost 2 euros PP. The stadium and the match were superb and despite there being over 90.000 people there we never witnessed any hassle or trouble from either sets of fans. The package meant that we were in Barcelona for 2 nights giving us 3 full days to spend in and around the City. For anyone thinking of visiting Barcelona I can fully recommend this beautiful City and the ease of moving around and seeing the sights. We all enjoyed it so much we are all looking forward to going again next year! Oh by the way the Match was Barcelona v Bilbao 2-0 to Barca.
Tip: Get your bearings and buy a street map, locate the stadium. Use the metro for transporting around the city and to the Stadium (so easy and cheap) Get to the stadium early to locate your seats and soak up the brilliant atmosphere. If there for more than 1 night consider the stadium tour well worth it! If its raining take waterproofs a lot of the seating is uncovered. Take a camera. Keep valuables secure. Don\'t worry if seats are in a high tier the view is excellent.
Having never been on a football break abroad before we found footballbreak.co.uk to be excellent as we were able to book the complete package with them and not have the hassle of trying to book flights and hotels separately. Having received our hotel voucher and boarding passes by email all we had to do was arrive at the airport and go to the departure lounge. On arrival at the hotel we found our match tickets waiting for us to collect from reception. The match itself was excellent with Barcalona winning 7:1 and Messi scoring 5 goals. Our seats were by a corner and we were sat no more than 20 rows back giving us a great view. The atmosphere was amazing, nothing like I have ever experienced at a football match before. We returned to the Nou Camp Stadium Tour and Museum the following day and would definitely recommend it. Aside from football we found the hotel to be very nice and the staff very friendly. Barcelona itself was just amazing. Tapas bars, shop, Gaudi etc. We had three days and still did not get to see éverything. I would definitely go again.
Tip: Definitely do the Nou Camp Stadium Tour & Museum and you must see Gaudis Cathedral.
Excellent value for money and superbly organised. Travelling as a large group of 10 males, everything was in place for us to enjoy the weekend with minimal fuss. Hotel was very receptive and friendly and the tickets were available as documented at reception on the day of the game. The barcelona marina was fantastic with an exceptional beach and beachside resteraunts and bars. A great trip
Tip: Must visit Barcelona Marina - the beach is fanstastic. Also do not be afraid to use the underground service - it is second to none. Extremely cheap, easy to use, air conditioned and you even get phone signal. Certainly teaches London a thing or two!
This was a trip for me and my 10 year old son to see Barcelona v. Valencia. As I usually organise everything myself I had some initial doubts about how smooth everything would go in the hands of another party, not least could I trust them to get it right. I am pleased and relieved to say that the whole experience was superb, good flights, great hotel, match and stadium tour tickets waiting for us on our arrival, brilliant. I recommend using FootballBreak to anyone thinking of taking a football break abroad. They did everything, and they did it well. Thank you for an experience that me and my son will never forget.
I am a big fan of the city and recommend it to anyone. We had plenty of time to see a few sights as well as watch the football. The stadium was amazing and so was the tour. I had numerous questions and booking queries for the plane and the servie received was great, I had no problem and the responses were quick and pleasant. If thinking of a trip and taking in a football match, I would really recommend Footballbreak.co.uk.
Tip: Make sure you invest in the city pass. The metro is really easy to use but it is simple to order and pick up at the airport.
As it\'s my 21st this year my dad treated me to a weekend in Barcelona as a premature birthday present and the whole experience is one I will never forget. The Rialto Hotel we stayed in was of a good standard, serving breakfast from 7.30-10.30am and offering a wide range of foods. As for the actual football match I couldn\'t have asked for much more with Lionel Messi producing a masterclass performance scoring 4 goals in the process.
Tip: I couldn\'t recommend visiting the Camp Nou on match day enough - it really is a unique experience. I would also suggest going on a bus tour of the city as there are some wonderful buildings and trademarks of the city. You can visit the Olympic Stadium (home of Espanyol) free of charge too which is an added bonus.
We had a fabulous trip to Barcelona and Camp Nou. We booked for 4 people our seats were 2 then 2 behind so we were beside each other, We were on the last tier so not for the faint headed but the atmosphere was amazing and so was the view surprisingly. Definetely would go back - Barcelona is fabulous and definetly worth a visit. Booking this package was so easy you didn\'t have to go shopping around and I felt it was reasonably priced. I contacted Football break a couple of time where the staff where extremely helpful and friendly. A fantastic weekend one we hope to repeat!
Tip: Check out the Metro it is so cheap and easy to use! A 10 trip ticket was approx 9 euros and this can be used for the whole the party. We bought 1 it took us all to the stadium and back with 2 to spare - great value!
We had a great time on this trip, it was a 18th birthday present for my son to see Real Madrid play Levante, I really don\'t have any criticism of the whole trip. We flew with Ryan Air this was our first time with them and it was all good, the Stadium was amazing the day before the game we did a tour and it was great to see it all before the actual match. The atmosphere and local fans were brilliant, Real Madrid won 4-2 so everybody went home happy. I booked all of this on line and you can sometimes worry if all will be as advertised but I have to say the whole thing was brilliant! I had reason to call on a couple of times and was dealt very well and everything was completed as quoted. Madrid was great a little cold when we were there but that didn\'t spoil our visit staying for two nights gave us time to do the local sights as well as the football. We both had a great time and would definetly recommend to anybody.
Tip: Hotel Amaral is within walking distance of the Bernabeu and really close to the metro for the rest of the city, the Metro is fast clean safe and cheap!
Just to let you know my Father and I had a fantastic weekend away in Madrid last week. The flights were good, as was the hotel and the tickets - were waiting at reception as promised - were awesome. We were blown away by the sheer size of the Bernebeu and the game, Real Madrid 4 Racing Santander 0 was very entertaining. Thanks again to you and your company who provided a hassle free weekend.
Jamie Cotton & Geoff Cotton in Estadio Santiago Bernabéu
Had a great time, hotel was clean and friendly, easy to get round the city as the metro stop was 2 mins walk away. Had a fab time at camp Nou easy to get to and great to see the game. Surprised how fans were not segregated everyone sat together very relaxed.
The package was great - no problems. Everything went smoothly. The airline, hotel and Atletico staff all knew what to do as soon as we showed them the vouchers that we'd been supplied with. The seats were great, as was the atmosphere at the stadium.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Football breaks.co.uk very much and in particular Rebecca for what can only be described as the trip of a life time. I have just returned from Madrid where I was on my Stag do along with 16 of my friends and family. The complete package offered by Rebecca for flights, accommodation & match tickets (Real Madrid V Levante) was simply perfect in relation to what we required. The help and assistance that was on hand to get everything sorted out for such a large party of guys was second to none and made the trip simply fantastic and completely hassle free. To say how good and smooth everything was I’d say that all the guys on the trip commented on the excellent organisation and when I told them about Rebecca there was discussions about booking our next trip already.
TIP: Make sure that you take the stadium tour and i'd also recommend the bus tour to allow you to see as much of this beautiful city as possible in a short break
Mr Longmuir at the Bernabeu stadium
The whole weekend break away was very good and very easy to book. I went to watch Real Madrid and the hotel we stayed at was in an ideal location for this with local Metro stations being nearby so I could experience the city of madrid to. Transfers was arranged, the flights was good the hotel was good and the seats were amazing. All in all a great experience and something that I am seriosuly considering in the future (Milan next).
Tip: If you go away to watch a game, make sure you do the tour of the stadium too. Really good value for money
Adam Walker & Dominic Crossley visited Real Madrid
I was very pleased with our trip to Barcelona, everything was very well organised. No problems checking in at the airport, the hotel was well situated within the City, giving good access to the local sights and attractions and within a good distance of Camp Neu. Extremely pleased with our match tickets - we had great seats and it was a great experience to be in the Stadium and see FC Barca win 4-2!! I would definitely book again with FootballBreak, it was much easier booking as a package rather than trying to organise everything separately and more cost effective too. Staff at FootballBreak were very helpful. Barcelona is a lovely city and we hope to return soon.
Tip: The metro is an excellent way of getting around the city - we bought a 3-day travel pass at the airport which allows you unlimited travel on the train/metro and bus around Barcelona - well worth the money and avoids the hassle of purchasing tickets each time you need to travel.
The package as a whole was very reasonably priced, efficiently dealt with and organized very well. The atmosphere in the stadium was electric and the seats were very good. I have no complaints whatsoever about the package or footballbreak.co.uk
Tip: Ask the people around for advice, they are very friendly and quick to help you if they can.
I was very happy on the information I was sent. It was the first time I have been to Barcelona, and I was travelling with a young child so I was worried about everything going OK. The information provided by yourselves was excellent, and it was very easy for me to "just get on and enjoy the trip". The stadium and match experience is amazing, I have already told fellow football supporters that The Nou Camp, Barcelona is "one of the 10 things you have to do before you die"... I am already planning on returning with friends, and will definatley be booking the trip with Footballbreak.co.uk.
This is so easy. Decide you want to go to a European game. Go on the website and just fill in each stage as you go. Spoke to Rebecca only once for reassurance. Seats together for plane and game. The whole trip was spot on. Will book in a month for our trip to Madrid.
Tip: Research all the hotels on offer first bearing in mind transfers between airport but also getting back after the game in the early hours.
Excellent value for money, Stadium tickets were excellent front row on second tier with no-one in front to spoil action. All arrangements and queires handled promptly by Football break, no talking to answerphone.
Barcelona is without doubt one of my all-time favourite cities, oozing culture amazing food fun and the perfect mix of city life by the sea. The service and assistance from Rebecca was excellent helpful and prompt at all times. The hotel was as described clean and well run and any improvements would be minor. Ie another coffee machine at breakfast and improved wi fi coverage throughout the hotel. Some detailed directions of how to locate hotel would have been helpful as it was rather difficult to find from the metro station. The tickets for the game at camp nou were excellent and well worth the reasonable upgrade cost, with seats behind goal at ground level and a great crowd. We really loved our trip and would recommend your company. Thanks! Katherine Birnie-Bremner
The total package was fantastic. The website was very straightforward and the customer care over the telephone was outstanding. I would definitely recommend FootballBreak.co.uk to others and would consider using them again for any future bookings I make.
We went to Madrid for the Real Madrid v Levante league game in feb 2011. I must admit that once I had booked the trip I did wonder whether or not things would be as promised on the website. However I didn’t need to have worried as everything went just as promised. The flights we had were superb as was our hotel. As promised our match tickets were waiting at the reception for us when we checked in. I could not have asked for anything more than what you provided and all in all we had a superb trip. I will definitely be using you for all my future football breaks.
The total package was brilliant and great value for money,i took my grandson who is 11 years old and he had a brilliant experiance, and the seats 5 rows from the front on near centre line were amazing, the stadium tour and the total package was excelent,we toured Barcelona by open top bus and this again was amazing, very frendly and we will be doing this again next year and booking throug your selves.
Tip: Stay a bit longer as there is so much other things to see.
I wanted to thank you for a truly memorable Footballbreak trip. All the arrangements for seeing the Real Madrid match worked like a dream.
I had been a bit worried about the courier service of tickets to the hotel which we’d booked through you. But the minute we checked in, our tickets were waiting at the desk. And what tickets! There were 3 price ranges for the Bernabeu stadium and we had selected the higher band which was still very reasonable (£40/ticket). We could not believe it when we saw the seats. In the VIP section, with access to the VIP lounge, and just 6 seats from the front. We could almost reach out and touch the turf. Plus Ronaldo positioned himself right in front of our seats – when he wasn’t running back that is, to cover for defensive mistakes!
What a great package. My thanks to you and all the team.
