We went, as a family to see Real Madrid v Seville, and have a short city break in Madrid. The whole package was excellent, we were able to amend it to suite our wants. We stayed for 3 nights, changed our seats in the stadium, flight times and we were able to choose a hotel in Madrid’s old town. When we needed to speak to the representatives from FootballBreak they were friendly and very helpful. The match tickets were waiting for us when we checked into our hotel, and even though the match kicked off late (10pm local time) it was a great spectacle (7 - 3 to Madrid).
As we chose a hotel in the centre of the old town of Madrid and used taxis to and from the stadium. Whilst it was busy after the game, there were plenty of taxis (we only had to wait a couple of minutes) and they are not an unreasonable price. We also used the local taxis to and from the airport, again with no issues and very speedy. Madrid is a beautiful city and, for a capital city, the cost of eating and drinking out isn’t unreasonable.
Well organised trip with no hiccups. Although the match was brought forward 24 hours to our arrival day we had plenty of time to get to the game and savour the atmosphere which was slightly subdued but it was great to see the style of European football and the world's greatest footballer playing live.
The five day Metro card purchased at the airport was excellent value. I would recommend staying at a Eurostar hotel and the city bus tours on day one which give a good insight of the places to visit. Allow three days to see the major attractions although 5/7 days could be well spent.
This is my second booking with FootballBreak. Having had a successful first trip to Barcelona, I did not hesitate to use the company again for our trip to Munich. Again, I was very happy with the total package and Munich surpassed all expectations. Fantastic atmosphere and everything is so well run!
I would recommend visting the stadium's museum, and taking a stadium tour in addition to watching a game. Also, if you stay and extra day, do take a trip to Bayern Munich's training ground. If they play on Saturday, you can watch them train on Monday (at 11am). We saw all of the 1st team train, and Pepe Guardiola signed my son's shirt - unbeatable experience! To make it a complete lads holiday - a trip to the BMW museum is certainly worth taking.
Excellent trip and excellent value for money.Fantastic seats at San Ciro - worth the upgrade. Great atmosphere generated by both Inter and Verona fans. We arrived a couple of hours before the game to soak up the atmosphere and it was well worth it. Plenty to see in Milan but as with most of Italy - very expensive particularly within 1 Km of Doume. Metro fantastic value though and easy to navigate your way round the city on this. We used Terravision buses to transfer from Bergamo Airport to central Milan - really cheap and excellent service.
The hotel was good, the flights were all on time and didn't have any issues. The stadium & match atmosphere was fantastic, best I have ever experienced. The service was very good from football breaks & would definitely use the again.
Take time to look at the tube, it's a great way to easily gets around. La rambla at night is just amazing.
