We arranged this trip as a surprise for my Dad's 60th as he had always wanted to go to Madrid. The overall service received from football break was excellent and they organised everything from start to finish. It really was the most hassle free booking of a holiday I have known. We requested seats on the side of the Bernebeu, and although this was not guaranteed, football break managed to sort this out for us. The atmosphere was pretty decent overall and Madrid were 2 up after 15 minutes. We were settle a cricket score but then the ref sent Sergio Ramos off after 20 minutes and that seriously hampered Madrid's attacking threat. That said, it was still a competitive fixture and gave Vallecano half a chance. The refereeing display ensured a hostile response from the Madridistas but this added to the experience! Madrid was a beautiful city and some of the architecture was a sight to behold. The representatives of Football Break made sure the weekend was a great experience and we all really enjoyed the trip.

Make sure you go on the ground tour as the Bernebeu really is a footballing cathedral. Walking round the stadium on a non-match day was great and I would really recommend it to anyone.

Bought the trip as a birthday present for my boyfriend. Both thoroughly enjoyed the trip! We stayed at the Evenia Rocafort hotel- perfect location for las ramblas and metro to the stadium! Excellent match- Barcelona 6- 1 Getafe! Paid extra to upgrade the seats by one band and definitley worth the upgrade!! Certainly using football breaks for our next trip- saves having to work out flight times and tickets yourself!

Pay extra for the upgraded seats at camp nou and do the tour of the stadium and museum! Some amazing restaurants in the city- especially one called Moritz Barcelona! Expect to pay more for food and drinks on las ramblas but slightly off that street, food is half the price.

My son & I just arrived back from our trip to Barcelona and I would like to give you some feedback, as this is the first time that we have used Footballbreak.co.uk

The organisation was first class and the travel went without a hitch. The hotel was nice, and in a quiet location, with good facilities and importantly it was near to Camp Nou. I was a little nervous about travelling without the Camp Nou without the tour tickets and match tickets, but you assured me that they would be waiting for me in the hotel, and just as promised they were given to me at check-in. To top it all Barcelona won 6 – 1, wow.

The whole package was great, we had good flights that were on time. We flew Ryanair and you get what you pay for but a short haul flight is not a problem and only taking hand luggae saves loads of time before and after you land, we used the bus into the city which was fine. It took about half an hour and dropped us in the city centre. Hotel was fine, we booked the standard 2 star hotel and for a short stay is all you bneed. The staff were helpful and all the tickets were waiting for us when we checked in. Great seats in the ground, it wasnt full as they were playing Real Madrid twice the follwoning week but the atmosphere was still great. It was cold though, If you go mid winter expect the same weather you get in England and wrap up. We got the Metro back from the ground, We had to swap trainslines but this was easy enough. We felt very safe the whole trip but beware of beggars in the centre of Barcelona they have some unusual ways of asking you for money!! It was a trouble free experience for us and I would certainly use the company again for other football trips.

If you are staying in the centre buy a ticket for the City Tour Bus. It is a great way to get your bearings and see the sights of the city. We used it to travel up to the ground on Match day and then again the next day to take the Stadium tour. Try the small tapas bars off the main streets for something to eat, we had some great meals and got good value. The Market off Las Ramblas is also worth a look round

This was fantastic I can't fault footballbreak.co.uk, everything we booked was there. Hotel was central Madrid and was perfect for access to the metro and buses. It was better than I expected.

Fantastic trip, this was for my children and they found the experiencing amazing, we upgraded the seats and had front row for Real Madrid v Real Sociadad. Excellent trip
