From start to Finnish fantastic trip!

My boyfriend is Spanish and an avid Real Madrid fan so this trip to see Real Madrid was the perfect birthday present. I loved the convenience of having the whole package booked and organised. Everything ran smoothly. Our tickets were at the hotel reception when we arrived. We did panic a little at first because the seat numbers were 25 and 27 so we thought we weren't sat together. But it turns out it's just the way Madrid number their seats. Odd numbers are sat together and even numbers are sat together. I originally booked the middle category of seats, but a few weeks after booking I decided I wanted to upgrade them and get the full experience. Customer services were extremely helpful and upgraded straight away for much less than I expected. Then to top it off, a few weeks before our trip we received an email to tell us we had been given VIP tickets! It did not disappoint. We got unlimited food and drink for pre-match, half time and post-match. Our seats were excellent and so close to the pitch. Ronaldo celebrated right in front of us! Overall I would highly recommend the whole experience. My boyfriend said it was a dream come true, and a month on he is still over the moon about it. Thank you football break!

If watching Real Madrid, allow time on another day to do the full stadium tour. Fantastic experience.

It was a great trip, and well worth paying extra for some for the items e.g stadium seats, central hotel. Your last minute upgrade of our tickets added to our enjoyment, it ws just a pity we ate before we arrived!! With the match being brought forward to Saturday afternoon, it gave us a full day on Sunday (and Monday morning) to explore Madrid, which we found to be a great city and easy to negotiate. Overall, we had a great weekend and are looking forward to going somewhere else with you soon.

Plenty of places to visit. We took in the Rastro Market on Sunday morning, and went to the Prado exhibition in the afternoon. I would advise against buying the 'Madrid Card' as I don't think there's enough time to visit that many places. Cheaper to buy them separately. Also, if you get a VIP ticket, get there early to enjoy the benefits. We ate before we arrived.

Dear Rebecca, I wanted to thank you for a truly memorable Footballbreak trip. All the arrangements for seeing the Real Madrid match worked like a dream. I had been a bit worried about the courier service of tickets to the hotel which we’d booked through you. But the minute we checked in, our tickets were waiting at the desk. And what tickets! There were 3 price ranges for the Bernabeu stadium and we had selected the higher band which was still very reasonable (£40/ticket). We could not believe it when we saw the seats. In the VIP section, with access to the VIP lounge, and just 6 seats from the front. We could almost reach out and touch the turf. Plus Ronaldo positioned himself right in front of our seats – when he wasn’t running back that is, to cover for defensive mistakes! What a great package. My thanks to you and all the team.

Do a little bit of investigating on line before getting there, understand public transport and location. It helped a lot to be able to walk to and from the Stadium from the Hotel.
